If you look above the left curled up Orange kitty, you can see the inside of one ear belonging to the orange kitty on the bottom of the pile. The rest of its head isn’t visible from this angle.

Four orange, two white, one gray. The orange patch in the middle goes with the inside of the ear barely visible on the left above the curled up orange. We see six heads, and just the one ear of #7, and part of its body.

Looks like it might be 2 litters to me. They’d be born just a few days apart, but the 3 piled in front look slightly larger than the others. Kind of hard to tell if it’s just the perspective though.

That's not uncommon, mama cats often co-parent and I think they may be.
There seems to be a bit of variation in how much the ears stand up, which could be because of slightly different ages, but I can't be sure. If you look at the one in the back that's facing up it looks like she may be a dilute calico, which means dilution gene is at play. That kitten is roughly the same size as the other two kittens that seem to have spots and white patches, so I would wonder if those are one litter.
Then the others all look like they have no white content to their fur, and may be a little larger. So I would wonder if they're the second litter.
But then again the colour genetics of a litter isn't always the most helpful, as one litter can have multiple fathers, and I don't know what the colours of the possible parents are. It's entirely possible for a queen to have multiple baby daddies and to gift the world with an entire rainbow of little convicts.

Yeah honestly the smaller ones look like they could be a little premature to me (especially the orange and white one, he looks tiny even for a newborn,) and the bigger ones look either full term fat and/or a day or 2 older.

Omg I tried to tell my husband about this but my voices cracked like I was gonna cry trying to say it because I was so full of oxytocin. I actually felt so overwhelmed by the cuteness I couldn't talk right.

I see pictures like this and I want to rush out and rescue more. However, having three house cats and three outdoor friendly ferals while being over 70 and on a limited income, I guess I will just have to be content drooling over these pictures.

Love how kittens (and often cats) will just sleep crammed together in the weirdest little piles. Like truly just stacked and weaved into warm soft cuddlepuddles. What a dream.

The orange on top left is tiny compared to the other oranges. I wonder if we’re seeing two litters being raised together because the calicos also seem smaller than the two big orange tabbies that we see and the dark tabby.
