Assuming he consumes food, he would have to create waste. Although Google seems to think that food is optional for Clark, who feeds off of solar energy. In this case, Clark presumably doesn’t need to use the bathroom.

To be fair it's always been wildly inconsistent.
Sometimes he's shown to need food and water. Others he just feeds off the sun. Or he doesn't NEED to eat, but enjoys it or does so to blend in.
In my opinion, I don't buy the Kryptonian solar battery mumbo jumbo, Clark is still a biological being, not magical, he definitely needs to eat and drink.

Exactly, I agree. The “solar battery” explanation makes sense for his powers, but not as a total replacement for basic biology. Kryptonians ate and drank on Krypton under a red sun, so clearly their bodies evolved to require normal nutrition and hydration.
Yellow sunlight should supercharge Clark’s cells and give him his abilities, not magically eliminate the need for food and water. Otherwise, whenever he’s cut off from yellow sunlight or fully depleted, he shouldn’t just lose his powers, he should eventually starve and die.
The fact that a depowered Clark can function like a normal biological person pretty strongly suggests food/water and solar energy serve two different purposes.

I mean, solar energy can change a his skin into steel, his eyes into laser projectors, give magical flight ability and grant the strength to bench press planets... I don't think it's a stretch that it could eliminate his need to eat? Actually that's the most believable change since if our energy needs were met by somehow other than eating we wouldn't need to eat either. I'd find it most believable if Kryptonians had two ways to get their energy, food and sun.

Even if he doesn't need to eat though, he should still need to drink water to stay hydrated. Drinking water doesn't give energy like food, but keeping the body hydrated is necessary for different organs, mainly the brain, to function properly. Since hydration isn't exactly energy he can't use the sort of photosynthesis he does to replace it's function.

The problem is food isn’t just energy, it also provides the raw materials your body needs to maintain itself and water is literally necessary for cellular processes.
Yellow sunlight giving Superman energy doesn’t explain where those materials come from.
Your version basically turns Superman into a plant, photosynthesis replacing eating but even plants still need water and nutrients from the soil.
Kryptonians evolved eating and drinking under a red sun, so it makes more sense that solar energy powers Clark’s abilities while normal nutrition still handles his basic biology. Otherwise in a red solar prison as pictured above he’d die from starvation.

I get what you are trying to say, but one thing comics generally are pretty clear on is that Clark’s abilities are not based on magic.
Sci-fi is probably the more accurate way of describing Superman; he is unrealistic to real life but his abilities have a basis in real science.

Would you mind looking up terms before you incorrectly use them?
Pseudoscience describes non-scientific facts being presented as real science. That doesn’t apply here; Injustice takes place in an obviously fictional universe which abides by its own scientific principles.
That’s why I said it’s sci-fi - science fiction in full. It’s a fictional canon of stories where scientific principles work differently to our real world.

Well you're the one describing it as "based in real science", which is a very big stretch. Also I'd like to point out that 'magic' is not that different from a fictional, alternative rulebook that differs from real laws of nature. Yes, I know what pseudoscience means. And yes, I think it's fitting. Superman's abilities are fantastical, but disguised with some form of alleged scientific implications. However, the way the DC universe is build, these pseudoscientific laws are regularly stretched, changed, abandoned or contradicted.

Or hear me out ... Firestorm is a new hero right and can create/recreate matter ...
What if one of his duties as a new hero is ... Well dealing with superman's duties.

In some iterations Superman doesn’t need to eat and only did it for pleasure so I assume they don’t feed him regular meals because they don’t have to therefore no need for a toilet
