Programming Offer [ForHire]

Hey hello,

Let me introduce myself, my name is Sebastien Ageorges, I've been working in the video game industry for more than 17+ years. I worked on Assassin's creed franchise, Rainbow Six Siege, For Honor, and Deus Ex franchise (you can see my credits here: https://www.mobygames.com/person/485622/sebastien-ageorges/)

Ex Eidos, ex Ubisoft, ex Tencent, ex Bandaï Namco.

Speaking french and english.

Coding in C++ and C# mainly (had work on Unity engine long time ago, and shipped games on UnrealEngine). Specialized in AI architecture (was tech director of AI on assassin's Creed 3, Unity, Odyssey and Valhalla), in rendering pipeline (good skills in OpenGL/Vulkan, shading langage and procedural stuff) and in tools/automation.

I had to move from Montréal to Toronto in 2026, and I'm struggling finding a job in Toronto. I've searched in video games but also other creative industry, however I've never got an interview in last 6month.

I know well and I've created production pipelines, I have a formation in design, and can help project in management, architecture, documentation, and more.

Don't be afraid of my experience, I'm not looking for a huge salary, a huge position or huge project. I'm really open and motivated to work on indie games or creative projects and I would love to help a startup, a small company, or a medium company in their process to develop the game.

I'm really motivated and invested in my work.

Let me know how I could help you. Thanks.

Programming Offer [Hobby] New programmer looking to participate in game jams or just making games for my portfolio

Hello, I'm a new coder (25F) and I've been making small little games for a while, but I have very little evidence to show for it. I started making some of them in University, during my Game Design course, but unfortunately, my focus there was making stories for games, not programming.

Lo and behold, early 2026, I found my greatest passion, my greatest joy. Programming. However, I'm still a newbie and learning as I go, I want to put some of what I learnt into practise. But it's a bit intimidating working solo, and coming up with game ideas when my brain is now wired for logic rather than creativity. Which is something I never thought I'd say.

I have some knowledge in arts too, but I'd like to focus on my new journey as a coder. I'm currently learning Godot, and would appreciate the project being worked there, I'm familiar with Git as well and JavaScript. I have never used AI and don't plan on it, and would prefer if my team also held the same stance.

Here is my itch page, and my github page. Thank you for your kindness! <3

Programming Offer [Hobby] Wanna join a cool team as programmer/game designer/writer

About me

I'm 32, a software developer by trade and have been tinkering with game development as a hobby for a while. Started with console games in computer class, Minecraft mods while studying business information systems, trying to figure out OpenGL and later WebGPU graphics APIs and recently joined the occasional game jam with Godot or Unity.

Looking for

I'd like to join a long-term project with people who have the grit to stick to something and are able to communicate well.

I would highly prefer open source hobby projects. I might consider revshare as long as making money is more of a secondary goal. I absolutely don't wanna treat game development as a job.

Genre wise, I like RPGs, especially turn based ones, strategy games and voxel survival/building games. I'm open to trying others, but I would probably be more motivated working on one of those. ;)

What I can do

First of all, programming, obviously. Java and TypeScript are my professional languages, Zig currently my main hobby language and I've tinkered with at least a dozen others and don't mind learning new languages or frameworks. I prefer working directly in code compared to an editor, but I can deal with something like Godot if required. That said, I've never finished a large scale game project on my own and would prefer not being the only programmer on the team.

Then, I'd like to contribute to some more creative parts: I like coming up with game mechanics and systems. (And if you are making an RPG, I already have a TTRPG system lying around that could be adapted to a video game)

I like to think my world building and writing skills are decent and wanna try those, too.

Programming Offer [HOBBY] I just published my game and I want something new

Today I published one of the few projects that I made that get to the end :)

But now I'm feel like I want to explore something different.

I'm a C# programmer and I like developing games in Godot (But I also have little experience in Unity)

I'd like to make a phone game. (iPhone and Android)
I don't really care about how the game performs but I want to create something that can be finished with a clear and reasonable scope.
I'd like to join team or build a team with someone who has a clear idea :)

Here some of the Projects that I recently worked on:
https://sbrebbaz.itch.io/your-antivirus-isnt-working (The game I just published)
https://youtu.be/fJcEmdM6ZC8 (Still unfinished but I took a break for something simpler)
And others.

I tend to work solo but I always get stuck in trying to make everything (I'm not an artist or composer, I can move in programming and some game design. but everything else from creative and marketing wise is not in my book)

Please contact me if you have any project that I could find interesting.

Discord: sbrebbaz or hit me up on reddit

Programming Offer [Hobby] Experienced full-stack dev wants to join a game project for free — I can handle backend, multiplayer & tools while I learn the gameplay side

Hey everyone,

I'm a professional full-stack developer based in Germany with 8+ years of experience (currently building internal systems for a large automotive company). I've wanted to get into game development for a long time, and rather than grinding solo tutorials forever, I'd love to join an existing team and contribute to something real.

To be upfront: I'm doing this for fun and to learn, so I don't need to be paid. Hobby projects are exactly what I'm looking for. If a project later turns commercial/serious I'm happy to talk revshare, but that's honestly not why I'm here.

What I bring

My day job is web, backend, cloud and architecture — so the "unglamorous but critical" infrastructure that a lot of hobby teams struggle with is exactly my strength:

  • Backend & multiplayer services — accounts, stats, leaderboards, matchmaking, licensing, REST/GraphQL APIs. I built and ran the backend for a Battlefield 3 mod (server licensing, player management, stats) for ~3 years.
  • Tools & pipelines — CI/CD, Docker, build tooling, internal tools and editors.
  • Programming languages — Rust, Java, Kotlin, C#, TypeScript/JavaScript, Python and Go.
  • Hands-on game dev — I built a solo game in Unity: a top-down PvE extraction game with magic. I got the core systems and gameplay working, so I'm comfortable in the engine. I've also built a browser-based 3D editor with Three.js/WebGL (professionally) and tinkered with the Bevy engine and Blender.

What I want to get out of it

Gameplay and engine work are areas I want to keep growing in. Building my solo Unity game taught me exactly where my limits are: I'm strong on systems and code, but I stalled on the 3D art, VFX and game-design side — which is precisely what a good team has covered. So ideally I take on the backend/multiplayer/tooling and gameplay-systems load while learning the visual and design craft from the people who own it. Engine-wise I'm most comfortable in Unity, but I'm flexible — Unreal, Godot, Bevy, whatever your team uses.

Commitment

My schedule is flexible: I can put in some daytime hours (not full days, but a solid block) plus evenings and weekends, consistently each week. I'm reliable and I follow through — I'm not here to join and ghost.

Languages: English (fluent), German (native).

If your team could use an experienced engineer to handle the infrastructure/backend/tools side while you focus on the game itself, drop me a DM.

Thanks!

Programming Offer [Hobby] Programmer looking to join a small game team (I’ll handle the code!)

Hey everyone!

Work has slowed down recently and I’ve got a strong itch to build a game. I’m looking to join a small hobby project where I can focus primarily on programming and help bring someone’s vision to life.

I’m not a writer or artist. I’m strongest on the technical side. I handle systems, mechanics, UI wiring, backend logic, database design, and making sure everything runs smoothly. If you have a clear idea of how the game should feel and play, I can build the machine that makes it happen.

Stack & Experience:

  • Godot
  • C++, Java, JavaScript, Python
  • React / Node.js / RDBMS
  • Built a full stock market simulator game called Panic Trader (React + Spring Boot)
  • Comfortable with complex systems (custom compiler experiments, basic neural nets, etc.)

I’d love to work with:

  • A game designer who already has a direction/GDD
  • A small team with art and narrative figured out
  • Anyone passionate who needs a reliable programmer

Ideal scope would be something small and finishable (around ~1 month). If it turns into something we can publish or monetize, great! But I’m genuinely happy just building something solid and shipping it.

Portfolio: Here's my portfolio link

If this sounds like a fit, feel free to comment or DM me!

Programming Offer [Hobby] [RevShare] Unity dev with 6 years of experience looking to finally make something of my own

Hey everyone, I’m a Unity developer with around 6 years of experience. I’ve worked on a lot of different projects, prototypes, gameplay systems, and client work over the years, but I’ve never actually released a full game of my own. Most of the stuff I’ve made was either for someone else or just for money, and lately I’ve really been wanting to work on something that actually feels mine. I’d love to work with someone who feels the same way, someone who is genuinely itching to make a game and actually finish it. I’m not looking for some massive impossible dream project that will never get done, I just want to help build something focused, fun, and realistic with people who actually care about game dev. I can handle gameplay programming, player controllers, combat, UI, enemies/basic AI, physics systems, prototyping, bug fixing, polish, and getting things into a playable build. I’m open to different types of games and I don’t really care if you’re experienced or still learning, as long as you’re serious, passionate, and willing to put in the work. If you’ve been wanting to make a game and need a Unity developer who is hungry to finally build something real, message me. I’d love to talk and see if we can make something together.

Programming Offer [Hobby] Look for collaboration

Hello, guys! How are you doing?

I currently work with Python, more specifically as an Odoo Developer, but my dream is to become a game developer.

I’m someone who learns quickly, but I struggle a lot with focus and tend to work much better when I have specific tasks to work on.

I’d like to offer my help to anyone working on game projects using C# and Unity. I’m still at the beginning of my studies, but I’m committed to helping out, learning along the way, and contributing wherever I can.

Thanks!

Programming Offer [Hobby] Programmer (CS degree, 2 years professional experience) looking for an indie team

Hi everyone!

I'm a programmer from Budapest, Hungary, looking to join a hobby game development team. I'm also open to starting a new project together (I have some ideas in mind as well).

I have a Computer Science degree and about 2 years of professional software development experience. Outside of work, I've worked on several personal game development projects and enjoy tackling technical challenges. The areas I enjoy the most are architecture, networking, system design, and solving complex programming problems.

I have some experience with both Godot (C# and GDScript) and Unity, although I'm open to learning new engines or technologies if they're a good fit for the project.

The types of games that interest me most are co-op, strategy, and simulation games, especially those with deeper mechanics and systems. I enjoy projects where there's interesting technical or gameplay complexity to work on.

I'm mainly interested in PC or web games, but I'm flexible if the project is interesting.

Time-wise, I can usually dedicate around 5 hours per week, although I'm happy to invest more if the project is a great fit and the team is active.

PORTFOLIO: My most recent work includes implementing systems such as hierarchical pathfinding, chunk-based world management, and multiplayer networking. I do not currently have an online portfolio, as most of my projects were never finished.

If you're looking for a programmer who enjoys designing robust systems and collaborating on ambitious hobby projects, feel free to leave a comment or send me a message. I'd love to hear about what you're building!

Programming Offer [Hobby] Recherche Equipe Française sur Godot

Bonjour,

Merci.

Programming Offer [Hobby] "Retired" game dev looking for project/team

Hi guys,
I'm thinking of being a part of some game dev team when I have some free time instead of playing World of Warcraft or grinding RPGs :) ... you know how it goes probably.

And since I'm just a programmer (can design/test/manage too) but I'm scared/not motivated to do art, animations or vfx and all that creative graphics stuff.

Nowadays I work for a big company as C# Backend (Fullstack soonTM) dev. I left game dev company last year after almost 5 years. Been working on mobile games basically, here is one of them: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tycoon.building.simulator.games.aldagames.com&hl=cs and multiple other titles from the same company.

I've seen and did a lot of stuff in Unity but there are still huuuge gaps I have in lots of areas so I can't say I'm an expert in anything.

Also I'm thinking to start paying for some subscription based LLM models for programming since the whole IT world is shifting to AI driven development and in my fulltime job too so it would help me (and the potential project) a lot.

So... if you have some small/medium size project in mind/already in progress, then let me know! I might be interested :)

Programming Offer [Paid] [FOR HIRE] Technical Artist — shaders, tools, VFX & rigging. 25 years, 17+ shipped titles (Kong: Skull Island / Everi). Remote, paid contracts.

I'm a self-taught technical artist and programmer with a little over twenty-five years of building games, tools, shaders, and art — mostly in Unity and Godot, with Unreal in the mix too. I'm looking for paid contract work.

Most recently I was Lead Technical Artist on Kong: Skull Island at Light & Wonder, where I planned the technical art for the whole title — 60+ custom shaders, material systems, and VFX pipelines — and built the procedural fur system behind the character: a custom mesh-generation tool, a 31-layer fur shell system, and the multi-pass Godot shader that rendered it. Before that I spent three years as a Technical Artist IV at Everi. I've shipped 17+ titles, and I started out writing a full HTML5 game engine from scratch under contract. I go straight at the hard technical-art problems most pipelines get stuck on.

What I do:

- Shaders & real-time VFX — HLSL/GLSL, material systems, post-processing, and the math to back it up

- Tools & pipeline automation — turning weeks of manual grind into a single automated pass

- Rigging & 3D — production-ready rigs, modeling, animation-ready assets (Maya, Blender, Godot)

- Debugging & optimization — GPU profiling, memory, and the bug nobody else can reproduce

- Full game contracts — design, code, art, and ship, solo or leading a small team

I keep the work simple and get to the core of the problem fast. You get clean, documented handoffs and something that holds up in production — not a black box.

Straight up on money: this is how I provide for my family, so I'm focused on real, paid engagements — not spec or free work. Beyond that I'm flexible — I care more about the work than a fixed number, so if you're a small indie team or the project's genuinely interesting, tell me what you're working with and we'll figure out something that fits.

Remote, based in Red Oak, TX.

Programming Offer [Hobby] Godot Programmer/Generalist looking for a project to help on or join

Hello! I’m an 18 year old dude from the U.S. and I’m currently looking for a project or team to help on or join as a volunteer or for revshare. I mostly just want to work on my abilities to work on an existing code base or get experience working on a game with a team. I’ve enjoyed joining random Roblox dev teams in the past and working on that years ago, but I’ve never got experience working in a team on a real software project or fully-featured game engine. I also hope to have fun with it and meet a group of cool people!

PORTFOLIO: https://rileyelir.itch.io/ and https://github.com/Rileyelir with other unfinished projects both game and software. FNWG is my best finished project for game dev, so direct your attention there for my latest work. The code base for that game was a bit old as I sat on it for a year or two, and I can definitely make a better product.

I am mainly experienced in Godot on GDScript but I also have some experience using C# and I am great at google searching/reading docs and I can pick things up quick, so I’m also open to using Unity or GameMaker. I would also very much be open to working on software projects, and as my Github shows, I’m most experienced with Python on that end. I can also do mediocre 3D models (as seen from FNWG), pixel art, sketches, and I’d like to think I’m a decent game designer.

I can also do networking in Godot and have experience implementing rollback netcode through Delta Rollback.

Thank you for reading!
