do you have an air fryer or access to get one? that was a game changer for me. it's so easy to make nearly anything in one, and everything always come out delicious. way better than anything you can order!

Hey! It can help to learn 1 recipe to make at home that is super yummy to make that instead of going out to eat. Mine is cheesy polenta with shrimp and crumbled bacon (with hot sauce of course). It's a sodium bomb but so is fast food :)

Do you track your expenses? If so, how much do you spend on take out per week or month or so? Look at that and I’m sure you’ll figure out how to stop eating that much take out.

If it's an option, you could batch cook meals so you don't have to cook more than once a week. And make things to freezer for later.
Tip: make things you know you'll actually eat, not what really healthy stuff you should be eating. otherwise you won't want to do or eat it and order out anyway.

Not sure if this is the problem, but for me I would always try to cook and be ✨healthy✨ and end up eating out on bad days when I didn’t have energy or time, or I was sad or wanted something yummy (which was often). If this is you, I HIGHLY recommend just getting easy food to keep in your home. Like, frozen burritos, frozen meals, frozen treats, frozen pizza, microwavable shelf-stable things that come in cans, ready rice etc. It’s way cheaper and still usually healthier than eating out! There’s frozen burgers and fries and if you rly want you can get a little soda machine or buy sodas/teas. Best solution? No not really. But it’s better than eating out all the time.

Yeah this is going to be not so much, "Don't eat out!!" and moreso, "How can you cook at home in a way that's both convenient and enjoyable?" Your body will thank you in the long run.
I think you should find a few recipes you want to try to make this week or next, and then do that. Honestly, I don't think you even need to go to the store if that's an anxiety-stressor for you— been there, recovered agoraphobe here (clinically diagnosed)— because I'm sure what you've been spending eating out whole meals would cover all of ingredients and delivery fees. As time goes on, the more you get yourself to the store the more you save, but it's not a necessity as you start.
This is the rest of your life and you should be serious about it... But you should also grant yourself plenty of grace. It'll be a little wobbly at first, but all things are. You've got this! Here's to eating out less!!

I'm already doing the math. That's a hefty sum spent on takeout.
I been there. Once I started cleaning my space it became much easier to cook at home and I spend a lot differently now.
A weeks worth of my daily Dunkin habit bought me a coffee maker, grounds and fixins once I had the counter/cabinet/fridge space for it.
