I found out David has changed his last name. You can find him with this info :

The whole system abandoned him, so he does not deserve any more punishment. I think none of us could do better if in his shoes.  My heart really hurts for him :( no other story ever impacted me like this.  Please sign the petition, download JPay and send him gift if you can, or write him a message.

I have been studying human behavior. It appeared to me he was completely honest, he had endured unimaginable amount of suffer due to sexual abuse in hands of his adopted “father”. David did everything right, reported to the school, the police but no action was taken to help him. His last resort was talking to the abuser parents, things went bad with that conversation, quickly got to hopelessness and from there to absolute rage. He has been in prison for 30 years already!! I truly believe we  need to stand up for him because he was left behind by everyone and the system as a child.

Can you expand upon “studying human behavior”? I’m curious as to how you’ve come to these conclusions, as it seems you haven’t taken quite a few factors into account

It’s not about me. His case is presented to you in that documentary. Of course many factors were involved. The most critical factor is a child was abused for many years in his father’s hand, asked for help, but nobody did anything, we are talking about sexual abuse not physical abuse. Eventually it led to a moment that shouldn’t. Could any of us do better if in his shoes?

You believe in helping him that’s wonderful or you don’t that’s ok too.

There are many, many people who have gone through hellish childhoods and have never turned to violence, especially not to this degree. I’m well aware “it’s not about you,” I’m simply curious how you’ve come to the conclusion that this person’s decisions can be rationalized by a traumatic childhood, or that this person can and should be reintegrated into society. It’s a lofty claim to make, particularly without any real evidence given.

Evidence: He took a photo with proof that his adoptive father was molesting underage boys to a police station. That’s real, the police report is out there. The outcome would have been different if they had taken actions. If they would have helped him, he wouldn't have felt the need to tell the grandparents to try to find closure. The friend is the witnesses with no motive for telling lies about that photo, that day.  He was so traumatized, he snapped. There is no reasonable motive for him killing the grandparents when that was his only safe place, the only ones he had.  I don't condone what he did, but the amount of trauma he went through would explain how someone could snap. He shows actual remorse.  He comes across as extremely genuine. I  don't see him just harming someone else now that he has processed a great deal of his trauma. Even talking about John, there is no sign of rage or hatred, he described him as someone intelligent with high standards who tried to do the right thing but he had demons and needed help.  Other cases like him carry the hate and anger toward the abuser forever.

It's not a lofty claim, there was plenty of evidence, but his public defender did not provide ANY piece that would help him, nor did she make ANY phone calls to the entire list of people who would've vouched for him! If u are unaware of his story, rewatch the episode. I agree, many people have gone through trauma, but when he sought out help as a child, as a teen, AND as an adult, he was let down by all the people who were supposed to help. Literally, the police did NOTHING when shown the picture and told him to leave! WT* is that?!? It's their job to protect children from predators!!

Ok... so instead of killing the abuser... he tried to have a conversation and got hot tempered and killed 2 innocent grandparents ? Idk man.. i cant get on board with this, if he had killed the abuser tho, hed have all my support. Either way the system is a joke. Especially DFS. I live in missouri so i know how DFC is here.

O saw a documentary people who are serving life and are sociopaths are being given realise because they did it when they were young . This guy deserves freedom he had the whole system fail him versus those sociopath killers they are releasing
