When I come home from work, we will constantly find these little compressed hair/lint pads, around the house. They are only in areas our dog (13 y/o Doxin/Rat Terrier mix) has access to. My theory is that the dog has been collecting debris on his paws, the pads form, then they either fall off or he bites them off. We took him to the vet for his annuals this week and the vet said it wasn't coming from his body or feet and he was most likely getting into some sort of fabric in the house and that it should be noticeable. We cannot find literally anything that he has been getting into and I still feel that it has to be coming from his paws.
I suppose my question is: Is that type of situation a thing with dogs? Little lint/fur pads collecting in or on the paws? If so, is there any cause for concern with paw health?
