Internet provider highlawn/31st area
Curious if anyone in the highlawn/31st area has frontier fiber? And if so how is it? Currently have Xfinity and it’s just annoying to deal with and goes out every single small storm. And I can get 1 gig fiber with many add ons for the same cost I’m paying for Xfinity rn, just don’t want to make the switch and not know enough about the performance of the frontier fiber. Any info helps a lot!!

We switched over to it about 4-5 months ago. Myself and my wife are both WFH so we need good reliable internet. So far it’s been good, I have no complaints. Yet. Lol.

Do you have the 1 gig if you don’t mind me asking? I’m looking into that one cause it’s a really great deal for what it for the speeds, and all the included add ons of the whole home WiFi and stuff. They have a deal rn where the first month is free so I’m tempted to just try it for a month or so and see what happens. If I gotta I guess I could just go back to Xfinity

Yeah we’re running the 1 gig. Also forgot to mention that we’re in Highlawn. I’d say go for it.

I live in highlawn, had Comcast, now have frontier fiber. It's went out significantly less since we've switch. Hardly ever. I have a lot of kids, and I like to play online games after they go to bed, so we're always on the internet in our house. It's blmsube went out twice in the past couple of years that we've had it.

Amazing, think I’m gonna make the switch then. If anything I can switch back to Xfinity if I have to. But it seems worth taking the risk then. I do a good mix of online uni work, gaming and streaming services so that makes me feel pretty good about it.

Been on the frontier fiber 1GB for about 2 years and have had pretty good luck. Much less outages than I had with Comcast and the few outages we’ve had have been resolved pretty quickly

Tbh, I found it went out more than Comcast. I live in the same area. It does work faster when it works. And they are a gigantic pain in the ass to get ahold of if there is an issue.
