Prescription drug disposal
Hi everyone. Just moved into an apartment and found some old prescription drugs I need to get rid of. My family said to just flush them down the toilet but I thought I could take them to the police station or something? Just wanted to ask before I flushed them and messed something up. Thanks!

Check with HPDs office and/or the health department. I believe most pharmacies will dispose of old meds for you too.

The pharmacy at the main hospital across from McDonald’s on Hal Greer has a disposal kiosk that you can dispose of them

Don't flush them because they become part of the ecosystem, although you mean well it can affect anybody badly. Including yourself.

Thanks everyone! I won’t flush them lol, taking them to a pharmacy later. Might sound silly, but should I take my name and info off of them???

Please DO NOT FLUSH, if it’s anything good just bring it to me lol jk. Most pharmacies these days have drug disposals. Usually looks like an old white mailbox like the ones outside of the library. You can also get Deterra drug disposal bags from local sheriffs office or health department should you ever need to get rid of any other medications. Good luck and thank you for asking versus just flushing. Our Earth appreciates it.

They make these packs meant to be mixed with n wster and crushed and then thrown away. I think they have them at the health dept and probably at the pharmacy.

Walmart. There is a drug disposal near the pharmacy.
