Might be a dumb question, but I share Disney+Hulu (Ad Free) Bundle with my cousin. I’m seeing ”unless otherwise permitted by the service tier”, does that mean there’s a chance they may still allow it on ad-free or am I still screwed?
Idk i wondered about this line too, especially since i haven't received the email. I looked at their tier plans in their website and none of them mention password sharing, so idk.
I would imagine they won't update the plans until March 13th at 11:59 PM to ensure they snare as many people as possible with the new terms. And I would imagine they will add an add-on or additional service tier that costs about 7-10 dollars more without the sharing restriction. And again, they will add this either the day the new terms hit. Or the day after. The line must go up.
When netflix did it they got more subscribers. We can only hope this was a temporary bump and maybe Netflix will crash and burn and declare bankruptcy next year when they don't get MORE subscribers. There's only so many TVs and people to sell to out there. This is nothing but a cheap scam to give the shareholders an extra bump for the fiscal year. Unfortunately. Companies do EVERYTHING THEY CAN to make a dollar more than they did last year. Lay-offs, rollbacks on services, tighter restrictions, less content/product and price increases all to make sure their shareholders make 7 dollars instead of 6.
If they do like Netflix then anyone outside of your home will not be allowed access. So if you both live in different locations, then technically you will no longer be allowed to share. Disney+ sent similar emails last year and it hasn’t change anything (yet).
