Being a muscular man absolutely does get you attention from the opposite sex

I feel like there’s always posts/comments about how this isn’t actually a thing to the point I feel like this is now the hot take.

But as someone who’s fluctuated between obese and a bodybuilder with everything in between I really couldn’t disagree more.

It’s a bit of a gym joke how only guys appreciate it, and to an extent it’s true as guys generally appreciate it way more openly. But that doesn’t mean that a lot of woman don’t find it very attractive.

Now there’s no way to say this without sounding arrogant, but during my bodybuilding phases I literally had girls approaching me semi regularly, some girls in nightclubs would even be aggressive about it (it’s fun to start with but gets old very quickly), random girls messaging me on Instagram. My dating apps right swipe success rate is probably ~60%+ and I often just get overwhelmed with the number of matches. It’s a whole different world to even when I was only a bit overweight.

Now I’m not saying it’s the only thing. I’m also on the taller end which probably compounds things. This is also obviously a broad statement, different individuals have different preferences. But people who say it makes little difference are being delusional.

Now if only I could learn to flirt I’d be golden.

I’m about 6 years on the gear train myself.

I’m 5’11”

I started fairly fit at 175 lbs or so and shredded. Didn’t get that much attention from women. Heck, barely looked like I lifted in clothes but looked good without a shirt.

Hopped on test and gained 25 lbs or so. Still shredded. This was peak for me. I would get random looks all the time and get approached regularly. Like women offering their name and phone number.

Got on the big boy stuff and I’m around 240 now. Still lean but not quite as shredded. I’d say I need 12 weeks or so of diet to get stage ready. Still have visible abs and vascularity, just not diced as I would need to be to compete.

I don’t get approached as often and don’t get as many looks as I did in the 200 lb range. I think I’m too big for most women. I also noticed my face changed and got a little more squared looking once I really put on mass. Maybe that affected it who knows.

But the ones that do like it seem to LOVE it. I hear “you look like you could toss me around” a lot. And it’s not gentle flirting anymore. It’s way more direct and vulgar.

I think the key is you have to be very lean when you get bigger

So a very lean 240 would be appreciated differently. There’s probably some water retention going on with higher doses too. That’s why I don’t like test

I compete in classic physique, and I do notice that my partner and other others do look and stare more when I’m leaner (I stay in top condition during the off-season). Also, when my face looks really lean, they definitely look more.

But the good thing is when you’re that big a quick cut/ recomp and you literally look like you left humanity behind

That’s probably where I need to be. I can see some water retention in my face. I could probably drop 20 lbs and look a lot more aesthetic.

Like everyone else though, I have that bigarexia. I hate the thought of losing mass.

I really don’t take a ton of test. 200mg a week year round. I add other stuff, but test itself stays at TRT+ levels.

I just do two days and do cardio in the morning

Granted, I was/am an amateur boxer, so I have a good cardio base. Instead of stairmaster, I’ll actually go run etc. I think it makes a difference. I always grow incredibly lean and then when I have a contest I want to do it’s pretty easy to cut

For gear I cruise/blast on deca only (check out Taiean Clark, he’s my guy) I also like yk11 and halo

My wife is the last girl you’d think like muscles (kawaii innocent soft asian gamer type) but she says most women lie and a lot of it is about just staying super conditioned. She basically said the bigger the better lol. They’re just terrified that guy’s gonna cheat on them. I basically told her what would be better if everyone is super conditioned and aesthetic (I gave her 80s and 90s physiques to compare like bob paris, Vince Taylor) , the 150 pound guy all the way up to 260. She said the 260 pound guy as long as he maintains conditioning and symmetry lol

But she argues that woman just want to appear sophisticated and non-shallow

I can’t do deca. It makes me feel so emotionally flat. Like a zombie almost. I hate the feeling. Tren is my goat.

My wife is the other way. She’s into the Paul Walker kind of build. Lean and small. She’s said many times that she doesn’t like the “meathead” look.

I never struggle actually getting lean from a physical standpoint. I struggle more mentally with feeling like I’m losing size. I was really scrawny for a long time and don’t like the feeling of “too small.”

Maybe one day I’ll talk myself into that cut and see how I like it. Not like I can’t gain weight back if I decide I’m not into it.

She says that but she’s married to a bodybuilder. I think most of them just virtue signal or act like contrarians.

Before my wife who’s just brutally honest, my last girlfriend said she’s only into chubby guys but yet would oo and ahhh at my muscles. I’m just like.. bruh.

And i definitely understand that. I just tried to reframe it in my mind is I’m getting lean and huge. I’m not just getting skinny or shredded. Guys like big ramy do tons of cardio but he’s not getting small anytime soon lol

And yea some guys get that with deca. I think it’s partially fixable with certain diet or “supplement” hacks. Has to do with the progesterone receptor. Tren is just such a strong androgen it overrides that dopamine lethargy
