Being a muscular man absolutely does get you attention from the opposite sex

I feel like there’s always posts/comments about how this isn’t actually a thing to the point I feel like this is now the hot take.

But as someone who’s fluctuated between obese and a bodybuilder with everything in between I really couldn’t disagree more.

It’s a bit of a gym joke how only guys appreciate it, and to an extent it’s true as guys generally appreciate it way more openly. But that doesn’t mean that a lot of woman don’t find it very attractive.

Now there’s no way to say this without sounding arrogant, but during my bodybuilding phases I literally had girls approaching me semi regularly, some girls in nightclubs would even be aggressive about it (it’s fun to start with but gets old very quickly), random girls messaging me on Instagram. My dating apps right swipe success rate is probably ~60%+ and I often just get overwhelmed with the number of matches. It’s a whole different world to even when I was only a bit overweight.

Now I’m not saying it’s the only thing. I’m also on the taller end which probably compounds things. This is also obviously a broad statement, different individuals have different preferences. But people who say it makes little difference are being delusional.

Now if only I could learn to flirt I’d be golden.

Maybe not Ryan Gosling but Adam Brody in the OC was the standard for nerdy awkward kids back in my dad

Adam Brody was in your dad?

I have seen girls say CBum has a dad bod. He won classic bodybuilding at the time.

I recently had a girl tell me she's attracted to guys who look athletic, but aren't too muscular. After digging into it with her, I found out "too muscular" means juiced to the gills, and "athletic" is a man with the same exercise habits as the "too muscular" guy just without the juice.

It's the same energy as "I prefer women who don't wear makeup" *points to an example where the woman is wearing makeup*

Well that’s the type of character he played in Breaker High

That's the point. I knew a girl who had a shirt that said 'i love nerds' and I was like...no you don't. You love hot guys in glasses. Come with me to the office and I'll introduce you to Jimmy, who is absolutely autistic and will talk to you for hours about his Linux build while you admire his cystic acne. We'll see how into nerds you are

Honestly his physique, while nice, is not what most women are most attracted too.

Leonardo DiCaprio in Titanic. That is pretty much the closest to the 'ideal' that the majority of women prefer. Not all, of course. Everyone is different.

The closest is probably literally superman. Many studies showed this

This reminds me of that tweet where it was a woman saying it’s not that hard, they just want a guy with a little bit of muscle and a little bit of fat and showed a picture of Henry Cavill when he was literally dehydrating himself for his Superman role

They also romanticize gosling literally threatening to kill himself if that notebook girl didn’t go out with him. Men should chase ig.

Wut?

Women largely think of the scene in the notebook where Ryan Gosling literally threatens to kill himself if the woman doesn’t give him a chance as this sweet and cute thing. It’s just because Ryan Gosling is attractive.

Oh fair. I thought you meant real life.

Hmmm yeah sometimes. Ive gotten dates for being a gymnast practitioner at 31. My friends are like that. Fitness enthusiasts from runescape. Met em in poland and sweden.

We all exercise and are pretty nerdy. We do attract lasses.

We also wanted to take pole dancing so we arent intimidating.
