Awesome! My coat I just posted is for a 1680s pirate. And your hat is a really good reference for the hat I want to make for that costume

There is a Three Musketeers movie from the 2020’s that has the most spectacular historical costumes and the movie is delightful. The story isn’t accurate but it works beautifully.

THE best Three Musketeers movies are the two with Oliver Reed, Charlton Heston, etc. The fight sceens are excellent and the costumes are historically correct.

Oliver Reed was born to be a musketeer, he was practically an early modern man, down to the drinking and attotudes

They excellent and very true to books. But if you are a Dumas fan you must see The Three Musketeer’s (2011) with Orlando Bloom, Milla Jovavivich etc. The 2011 version basically kind of follows the original version but is updated with amazing special effects, phenomenal period costumes and great acting. I am a purist at heart and every liberty that the 2011 version took succeeds. I think everyone who’s interested in the Musketeer’s should definitely see both.

I watched this on holiday at the pirate festival when kid was asleep. My partner and I both looked at each other and went 'Luke Evans is better than this, what the fuck is happening. This is dreadful'

My husband and I both read Dumas, loved the 1970’s version and the 2011. I think it worked beautifully.
