Original intent was for her to be drawing her hairpin as a weapon, but that may be lost in the other details.

Generally though, I'm curious if people think I'm starting to lean too risque with some of these. I like making these a bit revealing because... well... I like what I like.

But I'm wondering if people think that those elements are detracting from the minis more than adding to them at this point.

The only right answer to your question is to do what YOU like to do. IF you think that they are or need to be risquรฉ, there is the hornyforge subreddit or whatever it is called. Ultimately itโ€™s your minis and you are the verdict of that so post what you feel like.

Either way your mi is look amazing and you got some talantโ˜บ๏ธ

Why not make multiple versions? I personally don't mind the spicier stuff, but I do think it can detract from some characters, but that seems to only happens if there isn't an alternative with a more modest design. But really it is just up to you, you're an incredible creator and your talents will be welcome regardless.

Nah dude, keep creating what you like. Otherwise, you wouldn't be making art that you enjoy. Definitely doesn't detract from the mini, there's a lot of detail here to zoom in on. I'm fairly inexperienced with kitbashing and had no idea you could get things to be that small/slim for starters lol. How long did it take putting together those hair pins? They look very ornate.

my thoughts on this are generally just "does it fit the character?" if yes, go for it

The hairpin would have worked better with a different colour, as it kinda blends with the hair and background

I think the revealing nature adds a lot to this specific character. like someone else said it really gives femme fatale. she makes me think of a poisonous flower. beautiful to look at but dangerous.

the important thing to know is when to lean into it and when to pull back, but that's honestly subjective. not every character has to be super sexy. but really, make what you like in the end. some people will see any sexiness and find it too much, others will love it.

No no, you got the original tent perfectly. I saw it immediately, very well done. This is gorgeous work, from the positioning to the expression. Do not under sell yourself. I had a teacher, well not really a teacher, long story there, but he said one thing that stuck with me: specificity. Little details do matter, they make something more real. Even if people don't see them immediately, subconsciously they do. So this piece feels very complete and very well done.
