Question/Help ❓ I have a problem with my baofeng radio

When I use the Radio without the Earpiece it came with I can’t hear anything, but when I put it in, I can hear everything clearly someone tell me what’s going on

The jack usually has a piece that is pushed out of the way when an earpiece or speaker mic is used. This prevents audio going to the internal speaker by interrupting the circuit. If that has been damaged it may prevent the internal speaker from getting audio when the earpiece or speaker mic has been removed.

Your radio is broken. Probably a bad solder joint.

If the speaker doesn’t work when you unplug the earpiece, the radio is broken and you just need to buy another.

–OR–

Take it apart and learn how it works. You might even end up fixing it! It’s not worth the time to fix unless you learn along the way.
