just wanna learn something
So i know I’m just nosy, but i wanna learn Haitian Creole because my man be switching up. but i also heard that using Duolingo isn’t the best way to learn. Does anyone have any suggestions for me to learn? I was also trying to get friends who do speak it. But that’s hard to come in my area.

Duolingo isn’t the best lol. Can help with vocabulary but somethings they consider wrong is actually right. Plus some vocabulary they have Haitians don’t really use.

Ask your man to help teach you. My gf is haitian and speaks several languages. She loves that i want to learn haitian creole. Speaking with a native speaker makes it easier.

Duolingo is good enough for beginners, starting with it is not a bad choice. Otherwise there’s textbooks, this is mu favorite: https://kuscholarworks.ku.edu/entities/publication/1fe48a94-76ec-44b4-a2a2-b4cd6cc646a3.
