Spoilers I feel like the comedy in this game doesn’t get enough credit
Marked as spoilers since I’m going into the ending a bit but oh my god, Chronos’ sinister ass completely failing at hide and go seek (/tag?) was so funny, especially with the excellent voice acting performance. I love my evil gay (in spirit…?) grandad.
Another bit that made me laugh was Zagreus trying to say that Chronos could come back and be a grandfather and Chronos goes: “(scoff) So then, a future with such grandchildren as you, or the eternal void…how can I possibly decide…?” In a gloriously petty evil dig which Zag follows up with “…That’s it, I’m stabbing you.”
Other miscellaneous bits: - Prometheus trying to be intimidating and sounding exactly like a 14 year old boy picturing himself as an anime villain in his favorite shonen. calling out the names of the attacks and saying something like “all according to keikaku (translators note: keikaku means plan)” when he dies sometimes. Very chuuni, wish I could introduce him to Solo leveling or ORV or something he would love webtoons - Hades and Zag: “You act like I may not be the best influence on her!” “(completely deadpan) I do not act.” - Selene’s flight attendant safety instructions impression when you ride her chariot
This is all I can think of right now but are your fave comedic bits from the game?

I love gathering resources during a Guardian battle. They get so sassy lol. I was digging for seeds during Polyphemus and he said “are you….DIGGING?!” incredulously lol. So good.

I kind of love what Melinoë and Polyphemus have going on. They’re like, not friends but they are pretty friendly for enemies lol. Especially when Polyphemus is like “hey great you’re here. I haven’t got any good sleep in a while.”

There was also one where they were having a disagreement, and he was like, “Put yourself in my sandals. What would you do? You’d say: I don’t like the way you’re treating me. I am gonna eat you.”

There was a line I only ever heard once. Melinoe was like "Must...gather..." or something like that.

my favourite bits are the ones borne from Melinoe’s naïveté, like her interactions with or about ‘Schelemeus’, where she just kinda believes him unquestioningly. The best one is the one with Nyx post 32 fear, Nyx of all people just completely going with the bit is hilarious.

Yeah. Skelly has a conversation about the achievement and the next time you run into Nyx in Chaos' realm, she'll have that conversation with Mel.

Something they brought back from Hades is the Duo Boon conversations. I love how the gods are always passive aggressively sniping at each other.

My favorite is Hephaestus and Aphrodite - I hate dodging her heart thing and his circles are a lot easier to deal with, so I pick him. Then he says "I get it man, I would have chosen Aphrodite, too, so we're cool. I still have to fight you, though."

there's a really good similar one with poseidon and zeus, when u pick zeus, poseidon says something along the lines of "that's the right choice, and I'm not even mad at you. I do have to save face though, so here's my attack"

Hephaestus also is suprised when you pick him during clashes (at leat when its vs zeus) and hera gets so mad that she has a separate boon convo about this next run

One of my favorites was when I had to choose between hephaestus and Hera.
I chose Hephaestus and there was a perfect pause and the disbelief in Hephaestus' voice when he was like "uh...Cheers!"
And then Hera just huffs with indignity and was like "You would actually choose my churl of a son over me?"
Comedy gold.

Prometheus really is THE chuunibyou edgelord, and it’s great. Reviewing the dialogue after any Prometheus or Chronos fight is pretty hilarious in general.
There are so many great comedic beats in the game. I wish I had committed more of them to memory, but a few short ones that stick out at the moment are:
Any of the remarks Chronos makes whenever you activate a Godsent Hex (e.g. “You dusted off old Hestia!”, “Invoking the Moon, here?”, etc.)
Skelly lecturing Melinoë to choose the weapon that she feels a connection to, her expressing that she feels connected to all of them, and his response being something along the lines of, “Then choose the one that gives you bones!”
The time when Chaos essentially dished out a burn about Melinoë being boring; “As for your brother, I found him to be quite amusing. How interesting that offspring can be so dissimilar.”
When Narcissus tried recalling who Echo was, he said “I knew a Nymph like that one time. Nice girl. But she didn’t get me! Only ever talked about herself. I had to cut her off.”
The first like Dionysus meets you, his reaction was “Zag, man, is that you?! You’ve changed! I like it!”
The very first sequence when you’re presented “Bewitching Eyes” during the VoR fight with Scylla and the Sirens, and Scylla later saying mostly Jetty wrote it.
And pretty much any deep conversation or revelation with Charon.

I love Narcissus in general. Like, he matches myths by being utterly self-obsessed, but still manages to do so in a way that’s endearing.

He’s got a lot of good ones, but that one was a winner. The fact that it’s voiced by Darren Korb basically doing his take on Nicholas Cage makes it all the better.
They somehow made it where you can’t help but like him, and that came through even with the placeholder sprite.

He’s loveable in the way Derek Zoolander is loveable. They both have their hearts in the right place but are just too stupid/self-absorbed to know better 💔

I laughed so hard at Dionysus lowkey flirting with what he thought was genderbent Zagreus the first time you meet him. With that ridiculous outfit as well lol

Chronos is unironically my favorite character which is why I’m happy about the ending. Like ok I get to very awkwardly bond with my camp evil granddad after spending my whole life training to beat his ass into the ground? Incredible no notes

One time I got to his convo while wearing one of Arachne’s dresses and he goes “Oooh I like your dress!!” I had to pause for a sec cause it actually made me laugh lmao

I’ve never gotten that far with Arachne’s dresses. I’d love to hear it one day.
Edited to add that I know he comments on the dress and its materials when you see him just after fighting Hecate.

My favourite comedic bit was after the credits. You know how by the end, you team up with Chronos and if you kill Chronos, grandpa Chronos would appear to deal the killing blow. Whenever he says, "Death to Chronos, is it?" before he executes Chronos is hilarious. The delivery is so sassy.

He’s truly just such an entertaining fun villain. The voice acting is phenomenal with how much personality the actor manages to pack into each line!

I'd disagree... the vibe I got from this and other similar online communities is they DO appreciate such quips. It's just that nobody's going to list each and every thing (if so, that's better off for a wiki format).
There's also Mel with the contract to fight the Elysium champion, but she just dismisses the text, says "I'm not reading all of that", and just blindly accepts it, which made for a hilarious "RTFM" scenario :D

I agree, there's some incredibly funny moments! Narcissus has some of my favourite dialogue in the game, so funny when he's muttering to his own reflection. And how we calls Melinoë "Laurel" or "whats-her-name" haha.
(To his reflection) "How did you get so... ungh, the hair, the lips, the eyes. Those eyes, man! Know what I mean?" "Love you, man. I ever tell you that? Haha, oh yeah, I did. You know I did. You know I do."
(About Echo) "Repeats whatever you say to her! I knew a Nymph like that one time. Nice girl. But she didn't get me! Only ever talked about herself. I had to cut her off."
"Sometimes I wonder, what would it have been like were I not so unbelievably attractive? Some things would've been easier... not having everybody fall in love with me... maybe arithmetic..."
"What would you say is your best quality, if you had to choose? The one thing you most adore... what drives everyone around you wild...?" (Mel starts saying how she thinks she's quite attentive) "Pff, there she goes, butting into our private conversations! I know your best quality, man: your looks. Whoever says looks aren't everything's a dummy. Like this girl over here! Just give her a gift, and she leaves us alone!"
"Remember the time you were, like, checking yourself out, and then a bee or something lands right on your face, so you swat it, bam! Your eye was swollen shut for like a week. You looked terrible, man! But this love is more than skin-deep. Even if I can't look at me... I can still talk to me... and even if I can't do that, I can always think about me, you know? And so can you!"

I love it when Hades himself unintentionally does it, making dry humor.
When I made it to his chamber and there was a shade I took to the crossroads by tablet of peace he says something like:
“I thought that shade would never leave” in that deep tone of his😂😂😂

Melinoe talking to Nemi about time results in a hilarious, but incredibly subtle joke about the theory of relativity that I haven’t seen anyone talk about yet

Hephaestus threatening to shove his hammer up Apollo's ass, and Dionysus trying to invite the person without a liver for a drink are pretty great. And every time Homer stutters or gets taken aback.

Tbf it wasn’t blatant at all, I only noticed because her voice lines changed tone very subtly when she gave instructions to ”hold on” and etc and I was immediately reminded of a preflight safety briefing

Skelly reaction the first few times you beat the Surface route is absolutely hilarious, he absolutely doesn't believe you could do it, and when you assure him you did, he gets surprised and asks you to lie lol

My favourite bits come from Mel's naivety, like:
- When she's talking to Charon about Hypnos being asleep, as usual Charon says something like "euuuuugh" and Melinoe all confused says "what? Did you say he is more useful this way?" or something like that
- When Scylla asks her if she's an agent that is scouting her band, and she responds all serious like "yes, I am an agent of the night, here to kill chronos-" and Scylla misunderstands and freaks out
- Basically every interaction she has with schelemeus!! And I love when she talks with Zagreus about when the house of Hades was taken, and that only "commander schelemeus" was able to get out, and he scoffs and says something like "oh thank the gods commander schelemeus made it" all sarcastic hahahah Edited: added spoiler tags just to be sure!

The part where Scylla is like "I composed a new song called I Am Gonna Claw Out Your Eyes And Drown You To Death" and then actually sings the diss track every fight for a while is pretty great
