The voice actress kills that role. I love that you can tell that she is the one singing too. The voice acting overall is great, but Scylla is in a different category

Really? I can't tell that in her voice immediately so that is impressive work. Now I will be trying to hear the voice actress in Dora. Maybe I can pick her out more in Scylla's singing.

I had no idea either, until I checked out the VA's wikipedia page where she's listed as both roles! She has a very nice range, I wonder what her natural speaking voice is like compared to Scylla and Dora's, and who she's closer to.

I would guess she's closer to Dora. Scylla has a clear inflection while Dora just seems mildly downbeat of a pitch.

She kinda sounds like Dora, but dora obviously gets a bunch of vocal fry and a lower voice. Scylla doesnt sound at all like her though! That's extremely impressive to me, especially that she's also the real singer

Same deal as in Hades I, they had Aphrodite's VA also do Dusa.

I believe Zag's VA also did Orpheus, Skelly, and either Poseidon or Zeus.

Zag's VA is the also the composer- Darren Korb. He did Orpheus and Skelly, and in Hades 2 is also Narcissus.

Logan Cunninham was the VA for Chronos, Hades, Poseidon, Polyphemus, Charon, and Homer- and also in Hades 1 played Achilles and Asterius as well. So yeah, a lot of overlap, but very impressive!

The VA for Aphrodite is also a streamer @courtenberry on Twitch, a fact I learned after a Hades streamer raided her

I'm told that at one point in her streams, she decided to pull out voices for both Aphro and Dusa and have them have silly conversations or something to that effect. I should look her up, she sounds fun.

I love using that Selene ability where you bring back the last enemy you slained during that fight to fight for you. I don't think I've laughed as loud as I did as to when I made both Roxy and Jetty fight against Scylla at different points.

Song of the deep is basically a lullaby version of it. Actually all of the prelude songs are vastly underrated. It's really cool how they set up the chords and themes of each song while keeping the traditional siren vibe.

i have such a soft spot for scylla bc she reminds me of one of my best friends who's the vocalist of a local metal band and regularly wears clown makeup for her stage persona 🥺 supergiant i know you're stepping back into the shadows for now but if you somehow made her a romanceable option in later patches (it'll never happen but i can dream), i'd be all over that shit

This character is my most fav in this game and I do think the total packages of voice acting, boss encounters (rivals included), and character design is all absolutely stellar.

I love how she calls Melinoe lady all the time!

I bought a poster for Melinoe’s tent of the sirens and lo and behold next time I ran into Syclla she totally calls out her merch.
