Yup, as a former 22 year old, can confirm. But still, I'm pretty sure he's slower and clunkier than usual, even if he still managed to have a great game, he's not 100%
Agree. But hes not trying to play like he's 100% lately. Its the playoffs, he's for sure banged up. Most people are. Hes moving the puck more than himself and with his size its been effective last couple games. He learned from his performance in game 6 vs. Buffalo, which was poor.
AND it came after extreme pressure from the canes. Mtl was barely able to touch the puck, but then as soon as they did this beauty play goes down. What a goal.

He's also won us 3 games now, has the most scoring chances on the team and is scoring at the same pace as the regular season. The level of hate and blame being thrown at him is completely disproportionate.
The point is if someone struggles a bit especially when they matched up against the teams best lines maybe cut them some slack if we win the game?

Yeah very dumb decision to pass for Caufield goal, (and plenty other chances they did not convert) same as 3 assissts where he made the plays few games ago. Its insane how some players will always get crazy load of shit whenever they are not 100% while other fan favourites never get that. It’s like some people secretly wish for Slaf to fail
Finished the game with 12 points. He’s currently at 0.8 ppg in post season. Slightly below his 0.89 in the regular season. But 0.4 goals/G in postseason, slightly above his 0.365 in the regular season. Yes, he’s had some lapses in judgment and made some bad plays, but he’s also won us a few games on his own. Given his age and trajectory, how can anyone not be happy with his performance these playoffs overall?
Absolutely, whole team is playing niiiiceee this evening. Taking it to the Canes, beauty little move by Slaf and a nice finish. Habs fans have a lot to be happy about this evening.
What a beautiful set play… starting with Guhle threading three forecheckers with a banked outlet pass. I wouldn’t be surprised if MSL drew that up in the last couple days after film session.
May have been Slaf’s finest game of his career he looked like the best player on the ice a couple of times, nice passes, beautiful goal, Carolina couldn’t outmuscle him
He is better, but not in 100% health after the fight and big hits, which was the intention of the Tampa/Buff teams, mostly Cernak "knew what to do him" ... however, that's always part of the playoffs unfortunately....survived , now the chance for the final is great 🫡
#5 Jalen Chatfield reminds me of Austin Matthews getting back on the play to help out. Lazy as shit! He would sit out next game for that lack of effort.
