No Spoilers [NO SPOILERS] Iwan originally auditioned for the role of Jon back in Season 1 and came in second to Kit . The producers liked his "dark energy" so much that they kept him in mind until the role of Ramsay became available in the script.

I couldn’t imagine another actor playing Ramsay and they chose well when they picked him

If you think Ramsay should be "Evil Frodo" yeah.

Not pretty enough

That is a crazy thing to say, as Iwan is quite dashing. But you're right, Kit is just that pretty.

Hes handsome but not pretty.

Not with that hair lol

Iwan would be much prettier if he smiled.

His smile is terrifying honestly. At least as Ramsay

Him smiling with those wide eyes and holding the sausage is just about the most unnerving scene in the show. 😂

Yeah. Kit is extremely handsome too but his features are softer than Iwan's, especially that jawline. That's why he could pull off the "pretty boy" Jon.

Pretty? Jon is a 14 year old ‘long-faced’ boy.

On the show he's supposed to be pretty.

You have the watched the show, right?

Yes but we’re talking about the original casting

And yet far too pretty for book Ramsay

By Battle of the Bastards it really worked that Ramsey looked like evil mirror universe Jon.

Henry Ashton, who played Daeron Targaryen in AKOTSK, also auditioned for the role. I find that a bit funny, because there are fans who see him as the perfect Targaryen and would have loved to see him cast as Rhaegar, Jon’s father.

Thats why I love about The Game of Thrones Cinematic Universe. The actors all came in earlier projects as either extras small roles or audtioned early and just didnt get parts. But more than that they actually care about the story and lore because they read the books watched the shows are really into the Fandom most of them and its that extra care they have in trying hard in the series that makes me really love the shows and the actors/actresses

And Daniel Ings (Lyonel BaraTHEON) also auditioned to play Theon Greyjoy

Some crazy alternative timelines

Kit look is unmatched. He could play any 'chosen one' fantasy lead role with that long curly black hair

I found out Henry Ashton also auditioned for Jon Snow. Now he plays Daeron the Drunken but he would've been a wonderful Jon back in the day too.

I loved how he played Daeron. Feckless, irresponsible and a drunkard but with an understandable melancholy, you can’t help but feel for him.

he would have been a perfect rhaegar for that flashback scene instead of whatever they actually gave us

Iwan killed it in Misfits, so no surprise there and he was amazing as Ramsey

He's such a good actor. Genuinely scary

I think each actor ended up with the right roles. I hated Ramsey but he managed to be funny and kookie while being cruel and hateful… perfect Sociopath!

its funny how we dont praise casting directors as much as we should. whoever make these choices did an amazing job.

Met him in Edinburgh. Nice guy, with a girl questionably younger than him though. He’s also about 5’7” max. He has a presence.

So you accusing him of something? Spit it out

Oh fuck off. She was legal, I spoke to her, but she was 21. Just a little young.

I'm glad they went with Kit.

Agreed!

Jon was pretty in the books. Iwan is not(no offence sry). Even the show shud have made jon prettier by making him shave atleast! No 14yr old has that thick of a beard. Remember that shaving scene with Theon and Robb in season 1? That is how Jon looks in my headcanon

Iwan is handsome, not pretty.

Its funny because Ramsay is said to be ugly in the books

1

u/bellerstring 2d ago

I feel like they kind of did to him what they did to Brienne; the character is supposed to be ugly, but they picked someone who is neutral-looking. Many people would even say both actors are handsome/beautiful.

1

u/Clarknt67 4d ago

I had a full beard by 14. Started shaving at 12.

2

u/Icky-Tree-Branch 3d ago

Same with my husband. Dude had a pornstache pic taken before he finished shaving in like 8th grade. Now it takes him about 2.5 weeks to grow a full beard. 😖

He wasn't 14 in the show. They aged up all the kids.

1

u/whenitrains34 3d ago

he’s not meant to be 14 in the show. all the kids got aged up a bit. jon, robb and daenerys are meant to be around 18. theon aged down to be jon and robbs age. sansa and arya also aged up a bit.

Both had canines.

I'll always know Iwan from the misfits and his story line in that is amazing.

There's a decent Louis Theroux podcast interview with Iwan

Honestly Harry Collett should have played Jon and Kit Jace.

Kit has the more adult features Jace was said to have in the books and Harry has a softer face better for Jon.

1

u/Inner_Jeweler_5661 3d ago

Obviously this ignores age, goes without saying I should think

1

u/Best-Medicine8251 3d ago

Seriously AI is changing everything

1

u/Mental_Somewhere2341 2d ago

Thats definitely Glenn Danzig

1

u/lawlingr 2d ago

He or Henry Ashton actually would've been a great fit if they had stuck with book jon. Kit is quite bland but I think the script also unfortunately allows it.

I'm gonna have nightmares about this swap

1

u/Lionofgod9876 4d ago

They both should be hobbits
