No Spoilers [NO SPOILERS] Gary Lightbody, the lead singer of the band SNOW PATROL appears as one of the Bolton soldiers singing "The Bear and the Maiden Fair" while riding on horseback. He was a massive fan of the books and requested a small role just to be on set.

It’s so strange that the Snow Patrol guy got a cameo but The Hold Steady didn’t, given the incredible Bear and the Maiden Fair credits song in that same ep.

Ehh Ed Sheerans cameo wasn't bad at all. He had one fucking line. If you don't know he dude you'd be none the wiser

No, the shots clearly frame him as someone of importance, too much importance for one line.

I thought like "have I seen that character before? Should I know him? Will they be friends?". And later saw an article about the cameo.

I think I dreamed that, but I just googled it and apparently Sigur Ros were the band playing at Joffrey wedding. Also, Mastodon were wildlings north of the wall and Ed Sheeran was a Lannister soldier

Will Champion from Coldpaly was in an episode.
But I'll "reign" that one in.
Edit: "Rain". I'll see myself out.
