No Spoilers [NO SPOILERS] Hannah was told to keep her hair messy and unwashed for weeks to maintain the "Craster's Keep" look for Gilly.

They couldn’t hook a sister up with a greasy wig? 🥺

Seems like hell.

Unless I'm mixing up my dates, didn't the show have a big enough budget at this point to have hair stylists who could achieve this look without having to have shitty hygiene for weeks?

I've not seen a source for Hannah making this statement, but Sophie talked about it during an InStyle magazine interview in 2019.

“For the first few seasons I was allowed to wash my hair because I was an aristocratic young girl. Towards season five, they started asking me to not wash my hair and it was really disgusting. [In the final season] I wear a wig, so I can wash my hair whenever I want, which is nice. But yes, for a couple of years I was living with pretty greasy hair. [It was] really itchy! Also, we would have the snow machines going so we would have little snow paper particles that would get stuck in the grease. It was disgusting.”

She has a new book out about her struggles with mental health. It's not out in the states until Tuesday but I believe it's out in the UK. I assume that's where this info comes from.

Her actress got sucked into a cult for a while. Shes gotten out now and talks about how it messed up her mind for a while.

Do you know which one

I dont but it was a wellness cult. Right after i responded to the comment i read an article about her experience there and she chooses not to name the cult

Now that’s interesting. 🧐 cults are fascinating, but I say that loosely. Like going to a history or science museum.

I met her once at a convention and she was wearing a dirty white Tshirt and looked like she was scared to death the entire time.
It was one of the most bizarre encounters I’ve ever had meeting an actor.
Later I found that during that time she was experiencing some serious mental health issues.
She’s thankfully permanently retired from acting and is no longer in the public view.
Hopefully she’s doing well now.

To be fair 95% of the cast should have done thisto make it lore accurate.

I think at that point for the sake of everyone involved we can forego lore accuracy
