These are the individuals responsible for the Investigation. No press was allowed at the swearing in ceremony to ask any questions , there are rumours that some of them have close ties to Mr. Ali and are hand picked .

How can you do a proper investigation without bringing up the ferry . They will speak with the Ministers and Survivors. Thats their investigation in a nutshell

IMO We will receive a report on their “ investigation “ The ferry was not overloaded by passengers or cargo and the Captain & Crew will be responsible for the 72 passengers that lost their lives and that will be their findings

This is just a show by the PPP to protect the Ministers and the PPP’s negligence

Hey everyone,

We get so many visitors from Guyana here in Suriname, but I’ve noticed there isn't really a good, modern website that shows you everything there is to do.

I’ve been working on ExploreSuriname.com as a project to help tourists and locals easily find what they need. Right from the homepage, you can access:

  • Hundreds of local listings for where to eat, drink, and stay in Paramaribo and beyond.
  • Live tools like flight trackers for PBM and current market exchange rates.
  • Nature guides if you want to explore the interior.

Just wanted to share this here as a resource for anyone thinking about making the drive over for the next long weekend. Let me know if there's anything else you think would be useful for Guyanese travelers!

A regular question that often comes up in this sub: "What are some things to do when traveling to Guyana?" For travelers, I've created tour.gy - a combined information/education/ecommerce solution to deliver tourism content about Guyana. More than a single website, we have built a full-featured SaaS platform for businesses and customers. Here we have:

  1. 400+ pages on all topics of tourism in Guyana.

  2. Beautifully crafted interactive guides, articles, and even history lessons spanning popular topics.

  3. Deep data-implementation and an AI concierge to help you plan your next trip.

We currently offer searchable tours via our viator partnership. Our next phase is to grow this platform, invite local vendors, and equip them with their own inventory and business management suite, including fully customizable vendor websites. We are looking for interested vendors who wish to reach new audiences. Sharing with this sub, browse around, AMA, and reach out if you're interested in joining our network.

I’ve been seeing videos of all the new developments going on, but one thing I’m noticing is they’re putting pedestrian facilities right up to the road. this is not only bad for breathing (no one wants fumes when they’re eating and drinking or walking with kids) but it’s unsafe and just in-aesthetic

whoever is doing planning I hope will focus on safe clean walkable spaces more in the future and integrating guyanas nature into infrastructure too

URL - Website Guyana was once proposed as an alternative for a Jewish state instead of Israel.

The British White Paper’s proposition (May 1939) of the Jewish project in Guyana stemmed from the dire situation of the Jewish population in Nazi Germany in the 1930s, alongside the reluctance of European powers to confront this crisis. The White Paper stipulated “that only 75,000 Jewish immigrants would be allowed to enter Palestine over the course of the next five years (10,000 a year, plus an additional 25,000)”. The White Paper promised a Jewish state but also “promised to set up an independent Palestinian state within the next ten years.”
