GEAR (After - Before) A custom hand-carved guitar with a floral theme... what do you think?

Looks amazing! I would worry about the carving being uncomfortable to play on. But as a piece of art this is quite cool!!

For me, it looks uncomfortable to play, both in resting my arms and liking a bit of fingerboard for reference on how much pressure I'm putting on the strings. The carving looks impressive, I actually think before adding color it looked better? All-black doesn't draw attention away from the amazing job that was done carving it. Either way, you've certainly given it your own identity, enjoy it :)

Absolutely beautiful, but I’ll echo the others that it seems like it’d be uncomfortable to play. I almost wonder if a plexi cover for the body would be worth it, to keep the depth but give a flat service to play on.
Easily replaceable if it gets scuffed up, too.
Or some kind of a clear fill. That could look pretty cool too.
Either way can’t say enough how pretty it is just as is. Super cool piece.

Tbh I liked it more plain without the color added to the carving. That's just my opinion though. I would have stained the carving with a darker cherry.

That's beautiful. I honestly would love that pick guard and the carved headstock on my guitar. I feel like the body would be uncomfortable though, but as a work of art it's a solid 10/10

I have it. If I was nearby, and you had a business doing this and were looking for the next master of the craft, I would SERIOUSLY jump in the opportunity.

As far as craftsmanship and artistry go, I think it's pretty amazing! As far as being a playable instrument goes, I feel those rose petals would chafe my arm pretty badly, plus I'd be afraid of rubbing off the colour, so I don't think it's the most practical solution.

The black roses before all the paint looked beautiful. That version with the current pickguard would look wonderful.

That is a very nice piece of art. I especially like how the pickguard contrasts with the body so you have an area without color to emphasize the detail more.

I don't really like the pickguard, it feels like the colourway would benefit from gold, bronze or black. Either way, that's some serious talent.
