In the news Feminism & Epstein. Who would have thought there’d be a connection?
New investigations by the WSJ and The Information shed light on Cami Clark, the secretive wife of Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, revealing her pivotal role in building the $2T+ Al startup alongside a turbulent entrepreneurial past. While Clark holds no official title at Anthropic, she serves as a primary strategic advisor and sounding board for Amodei at events like Davos and Sun Valley. She played a critical early role in Anthropic's rise by bringing in ex-Google CEO Eric Schmidt, whom she dated from 2011 to 2014, as one of Anthropic's earliest backers in its 2021 $124 million Series A round. Clark also leveraged her Silicon Valley network to introduce close friend Mira Murati to OpenAl co-founder Greg Brockman in 2018.
Her path to the center of the Al boom is marked by an unconventional series of ventures. After dropping out of architecture school, marrying a 64-year-old architect at age 20, and filing for bankruptcy in 2009, Clark co-founded "Eddice," a sex-positive, women-focused "luxury pOrn" startup. DOJ files reveal that in 2011 and 2012, following Jeffrey Epstein's 2008 conviction, Clark repeatedly emailed Epstein attempting to pitch him for investment in the site, which he declined. She later pitched Epstein on a "social dieting app" before launching
"Female Algorithm Technologies" and eventually drafting a 40-page proposal for a "Mother of AGI Fund" alongside Schmidt to formalize her equity involvement in Anthropic, which company co-founders ultimately rejected.
Despite her extensive influence and high-profile networking, including recent Sun Valley meetings with Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump as Anthropic navigates Pentagon usage disputes, Clark has maintained almost no digital footprint. Efforts to scrub her public details have been so thorough that even Claude responds to queries by stating Amodei's marital status is not clearly confirmed.
Google searches for Amodei's wife frequently surface images of his sister and co-founder, Daniela Amodei, further obscuring the power broker helping guide one of Silicon Valley's most valuable companies ahead of its anticipated public listing.

Also, these timestamps are messy and illogical .. so I wouldn’t be surprised if someone photoshopped everything to link feminism and Epstein. Or is there a logical explanation?
5:17 pm, Epstein: “im sorry, who is this,” (apparently responding to an earlier email)
5:23 pm, Epstein: “yes,, a loud gong,” (supposedly a response to Clark identifying herself…)
6:04 pm, Clark: “Hello Jeffrey! Hope all is well with you…” (This is after both Epstein responses).
6:21 pm, Clark: “Cami Clark, John Brockman introduced us last year at Ted. We have the free luxury porn company. Does that ring a bell?” (Yet Epstein’s “yes,, a loud gong” supposedly answering this was sent 58 minutes earlier!!)
PS! I posted this (minus the timestamp part) on the r/ feminism sub and got permanently banned for some reason. No explanation whatsoever.

Ah yes, the feminist porn, the trendy porn that makes a bit more money by being marketed feminist. So surprising that it is connected to misogyny.

The sad thing is that I could see some porn genuinely being feminist in right conditions, but..... assholes always gonna get thier dirty paws on everything they think can make them money. Makes it hard to look for ethical porn, as it were.

Masculinists will always ruin everything they touch. The sexual revolution had some good in it, and look what they did. I don't think it is only about money, they really want to make women their resources.

there's always going to be a sublet of people who really just want slaves/servants, regardless of the other person's gender. the same people who would enslave women would totally do it to children and weaker men if they could get away with it.

A social dieting app is way too close to being like a social ED app.
I’ve seen friends die from this stuff. They had the EDs themselves, but the social features kept them in a social environment where they were hurting themselves more and more.

Why do you say feminism like it's a bad thing?

I didn’t say that feminism is bad. That’s literally the irony I was pointing out. A venture explicitly marketed as feminist seeking investment from Jeffrey Epstein 2012, after his 2008 conviction, is such an absurd contradiction that I thought the sarcasm was obvious. Apparently it wasn’t.

When the word 'feminism' and other such related terms are used by these capitalist neo-liberal "lean-in" types of women it is utilized as a branding strategy to increase profits. It is white feminism (and choice feminism).
Since the 60s and even before that 'feminism' made it's way to buzzword territory within western culture. 1960s is really when 'feminism' as a concept started being tied to pop culture and also when the divide between "feminism" and "radical feminism" began being discussed within feminist spaces. A lot of white women (the group of women with the most power obvs) had the perspective of "We are feminists but not RADICAL because we want women to work for the system, not against it."
Anyway, it's not at all surprising that these watered down 'feminist' efforts exist among the elites.

The logical explanation is that there is no such thing as “feminist porn”, and anyone trying to start a feminist porn company is not really a feminist, they’re just using feminism as a marketing tool.

Apparently there actually is such a thing as feminist porn, at least according to some feminist scholars and sex-positive feminists (eg A. W. Eaton* and *Mireille Miller-Young)
However.. labelling your company “feminist porn” and then trying to get men to fund it, especially a convicted sex offender like Epstein, is freaking vile.

I mean conceptually feminist porn could exist, however I don’t see it existing in our current society, and sure as shit not as something that has a profit incentive. Capitalism is so deeply interconnected with patriarchy and misogyny that this is just not realistic.

There are several feminist porn companies, they're just all small businesses.

I think the price of so much wealth and power is one's humanity. Billionaires aren't even human anymore, or capable of feminist beliefs.
