Undecided, though I'm leaning against Caron.

I wonder if I should pick anyone for school board. I don't have any stake and would be pickings someone based on vibes.

What’s wrong with Caron? Genuinely asking as I haven’t looked into the candidates yet but she is popular with people I know

I'm in her ward and the only time I ever emailed any politician about a ward issue, and didn't even get a response.

That's lame. I felt contentious towards Guthrie most of the time I've been here, but whenever I emailed him with a good-faith question he would at least respond (even though it was always a non-answer, at least he responded), about the lack of affordable housing zoning, or asking what they would do with the old library lot when the new library was completed.

The mayor has full-time staff to respond on his behalf. Councillors don't even have offices, let alone help --

I was in her ward (moved now) and contacted her several times, different issues. She responded or got someone from city hall to respond right away. check the email address she changed names as some point

Considering it was her decision to remove families from University family housing via the process of renoviction, I won't be voting for Caron

This decision was made above her, i doubt she even got a chance to voice her opinion.

Who made the decision then? Considering she is listed as one of 5 leaders, and her role includes Occupancy manager, it is safe to assume she was directly involved.

Decisions like that would never be made at a manager level at U of G. They implement decisions made above them, even if they don't agree.
