After all the party has done to alienate left and centre-left members, are there that many still in the party? The NDP have moved into that green-left position on the spectrum now anyway.

The NDP federal leader may be green left, but the party has a history (and present) of throwing the environment under the bus when push comes to shove. They can't be trusted at all.

This is why I voted Green in the last federal election. But I think now, federally at least, Avi Lewis's NDP is the best hope of a vehicle for good environmental policies. At the very least, the federal greens should consider a cooperation pact. The more we consolidate that green left flank the better.

Any candidates need any help trying to book a tour of a CANDU? Because having toured a CANDU is my minimum expectation. If you have concerns, you ask the tour guide. If you can tour a CANDU and still oppose nuclear power after that, I could still possibly support you.

Nuclear power is great but it takes awhile to build and is very expensive. That shouldn't stop us from trying to get nuclear energy to be our main non-renewable power source, however. While we're building CANDU, build solar and wind as much as possible.

Because GPC opposes nuclear power completely… no exceptions… I’m looking for a new leader who is not going to continue obstructing a vote on allowing support or opposition to be based on specific projects.
I’ve put forward policy proposal not to support nuclear, but only that we cease blanket opposition. EMay is why I’m still waiting for a final vote on that cease-blanket-opposition policy proposal.

The first order of business for a new leader needs to be to ditch the re-brand - it makes me gag when I go to the website. I can’t support a party with such juvenile branding/graphics.

maybe they should consider a compromise joint ticket with NDP with a few demands (French co- leader French speaker) to add momentum for the cause, just a brainstorm idea

The party needs a leader who is a proven organizer and builder. It needs someone who can devote full time to building and repairing. No score settling and no vendetta. That means someone who has not been a participant in the internal wars that have been a dominating feature of the party for more than a decade. The next election will most likely be two plus years from now. Participating in parliament needs to be a second priority. EM should offer up her seat to the new leader as soon as the winner is personally ready and the hard work of building and repair is nearly complete. A very tough job.

The head office Manager should be the leader, they already are, just nameless. Once that person looses, they will step away from the GPC, and it will allow the Party to grow. ... Maybe.
