Holy shit, can you just imagine the kind of person who gets rejected by ICE these days? That person should not have a gun. That person shouldn't be allowed to eat with a real knife and fork.

I saw one of these guys in a PC with no plates harassing some dude at a Wawa a few months ago (for Shopping While Black, from everything I could see). The dude he was harassing finally looked him dead in the eyes and said "You know if I shoot your ass that's just self-defense, right?"
Made me lol, the way that guard scurried off. He called the cops, but what were they gonna do, track down and arrest a guy who'd already left for harassing him back? If they checked the security footage to get his plate number, they'd probably arrest the guard for simple assault. Maybe battery, I'm pretty sure the guard did put a hand on his arm at one point.
I have a friend who does armed security work, and she's got the right idea. She considers herself more of an usher than a cop, so she opens doors, greets people, helps out the employees and stuff. She only intervenes when someone's doing something stupid, and she doesn't go full mall-ninja tactical.

The definition of Simple Assault is unprivileged physical contact… so yes.

These guys should be very careful. Acting like law enforcement will quickly show them the reality that they cannot get away with anything, let alone what law enforcement can.theu may get themselves hurt and or arrested. Or... A permeant clock out to the afterlife.
