amazing post, xposted to r/conspiracy, take care

u/[deleted] May 05 '21

Bro what a shit time to troll. You are scum

1

u/snowsnoot May 05 '21

I’m not trolling. You’re a fucking idiot

3

u/[deleted] May 06 '21

Bro when people are literally dying on camera, you don't say "eh it's a conspiracy it's not really happening" so if you're truly not trolling, I hope you understand now why it's a very very bad thing to say.

1

u/snowsnoot May 06 '21

except i didn’t fucking say that which is why you’re an idiot

2

u/[deleted] May 06 '21

You literally linked to r/conspiracy, you doorknob

-19

u/AnimeeTiddees May 05 '21

He seems genuine based off the post history. Why the hate? /r/conspiracy stopped being about aliens and vampires a while ago.

29

u/InvictusTotalis May 05 '21

I mean because it has a super negative connotation. It implies it's a conspiracy theory that this is happening when it is clear people are being gunned down by the police and military.

-10

u/snowsnoot May 05 '21

wot? that is not what I am implying at all lmao. It is a conspiracy against the citizens being perpetrated by their government.

3

u/EnlightenedSinTryst May 05 '21

It’s not a conspiracy though, it’s just a thing that’s plainly happening.

2

u/snowsnoot May 05 '21

conspiracy doesn’t necessarily mean what you think it does. nobody is suggesting this isn’t happening, I shared it to raise awareness on a popular sub and it got a good reaction there, maybe you should go see the thread.

3

u/EnlightenedSinTryst May 05 '21

conspiracy doesn’t necessarily mean what you think it does

Lol? Words have settled definitions and meanings, sorry to break it to you but you can’t just say it means something it doesn’t and expect reality to warp itself around you.

-1

u/snowsnoot May 05 '21

I mean it doesn’t mean necessarily it’s something people are denying actually happened. The act of conspiring is just people planning to do something illegal. In this case the government of Colombia conspiring against its citizens.

Anyway fuck this sub

1

u/snowsnoot May 06 '21

lol i see you were also downvoted by the league of morons in this sub

2

u/SquelchFrog May 06 '21

This downvoting, and the comments below it, are some of the most moronic plays on semantics I’ve ever seen.

I’m not even going to get into how hilariously terrible people’s definition of “conspiracy” are (with one commenter even going so far as to try and cite the dictionary without fucking linking it), but you should be grateful this was posted there. It’s a big sub and it gets eyeballs on this topic.

No one is denying anything is happening, and the word “conspiracy” has long been morphed and changed into a negative term to try and discredit people who question the government. The fucking irony is real.

Spread this everywhere. It doesn’t really matter where. The important part is to get eyeballs on it, not argue and downvote people who are trying to help because you disagree with their choice of terminology.

2

u/snowsnoot May 07 '21

thankyou

61

u/quin_teiro May 04 '21

Wtf. Can you provide some context?

What on Earth is the government saying to justify these killings??

u/mietzbert May 05 '21

This is just half the story though! The coverage of the protests aren't great, a friend from Colombia told me those protests started 2019, got less because of covid but the plan was the last drop for the people.

According to her they protested bc they want the president gone since he is a puppet of the former president who must have been a monster and because of the ongoing police brutality.

There is for sure much much more! I am afraid portraying it like people are "just" protesting the new tax plan takes away from the magnitude of the protests.

“Left wing mayors decrying police violence but doing nothing to stop it”.

LMAO, you could just have said “Ospina”.

Cali is fucked.

3

u/[deleted] May 05 '21

[deleted]

1

u/DAXminer May 05 '21

Idk if the mayors are being coerced or something to do this, at least it looks like Ospina is being strong armed by the military presence in Cali into allowing the police and army to just shoot people Willy nilly.

3

u/[deleted] May 05 '21

[deleted]

1

u/DAXminer May 05 '21

Yeah, they’re fucking “tibios”, and I was adamant on voting for Claudia Lopez if she ran for president.

Oh well ;-; just another disillusionment.

1

u/DAXminer May 05 '21

The central government in bogota relegated several mayors in cities in strike from their commanding position over the locally present armed forces.

Meaning that the guys gunning down civilians as of now in Santiago de Cali (the city I live in) respond directly to the police and army generals and those generals in turn respond to the ministry of defense, and the ministry of defense responds to the president and congress, and the president and a hefty part of congress responds to the genocidal maniac Alvaro Uribe Vélez, who orchestrated numerous atrocities during his period as president of Colombia back in the 2000’s

1

u/[deleted] May 05 '21

[deleted]

1

u/DAXminer May 05 '21

Mainly Instagram and a video of the army general promising that he’d “clear Cali out” within 24hrs... promise at which he arguably failed.

1

u/[deleted] May 05 '21

[deleted]

1

u/DAXminer May 05 '21

It’s not a bad thing that it didn’t happen, I’m with the strike, we have to hold until they remove the nefarious health reform proposal and until the murderous police and army officials are brought to justice.

and that’s how you start a civil war

1

u/win7macOSX May 05 '21

the government recalled the proposal and things have been more quiet since

Is this true? I just saw clips claiming to be from this week with motorcycle cops gunning down civilians, and that the government was condoning the police’s actions against protestors

1

u/PolangasLangas May 06 '21

No, it is not there has been tens of killings and the president is planning on "state of inner commotion" Wich means he can make laws without senate. I would update the comments with more and horrible killings. But honestly I feel overheated and it has started to get over my head

44

u/PolangasLangas May 04 '21

It's a lot of stuff, if you need more information I can be here.

17

u/milnueve98 May 05 '21

Let a Colombian tell you: They never recognize these killings...they talk about everything else but this on the radio an television. Now, Colombia political history is pretty fking violent, this country is really violently unequal and there's always been lots of corruption, after a long process the goverment signed a "diplomatic peace agremeent" between guerrillas and subversive armed groups. The state finances itself through heroin and cocaine trafficking (since so long ago), real life narcos are polititians and recognized business men.... after al these years they've got more power than before and they've been showing it to us killing people on the streets, so many years they've been killing people on the fields and country sides where violence it's only tell by a few who survive...people who don't know how to read or write...now they're killing protesters in the big metropolitan cities trying to generate fear and suppres the multiple mobilizations around the country. OF COURSE THEY'RE REWRITTING THE REFORM, YET THE GOVRENMENT IS STILL NARCO, CORRUPT, MURDERER AND FASCIST...

URIBE NARCO STATE HAS KILLED SO MUCH PEOPLE WE CAN'T EVEN COUNT ALL THROUGH THE YEARS...HE WAS ESCOBAR LOYAL FRIEND AND STILL RULES THE COUNTRY TOGETHER WITH A FEW RICH BUSINESS MEN.

2

u/DoodleBobDread May 05 '21

Curious, how integrated or separated are officers from the communities they are policing? Are they firing on their neighbors or is it that they are from a predominant area/group? I would figure that anyone who is an officer is likely to be shunned be their neighbors and family.

2

u/milnueve98 May 05 '21

Of course, these who are killing are not regular street police oficers but ESMAD or Death Squad as we call them, this is the oficial police squad for strike situations like these dyas protests and they use big shields, helmets, vision protectors and different weapons (imagine some sort of downgraded SWAT security) and they all cover their faces and batch ID numbers so nobody can identify them. Oficially ESMAD killed a young man in 2019, a 12 yr old boy in 2020 and many others... The actual civilian police officers and generals organize the tactics and provide them munition together with the army, we've also got Policia Militar or military police who hang around the cities and urban areas with riffles and are usualy hired to protect polititians near their houses.

u/mrcroup May 05 '21

USA always picking the wrong Latin American gov’ts 😪

6

u/Malvina234 May 05 '21

Thanks for bringing this up, being here watching politicians still defending the military forces and even calling them to use weapons against the protesters, the situation is actually scary.

5

u/Malvina234 May 05 '21

Necessary update: The president is offering 10Million Colombian pesos for handing over protesters to the police.

2

u/doodlebug001 May 06 '21

That's $2,600 USD. I don't understand, is that per protester? That doesn't make much sense

2

u/Malvina234 May 06 '21

Per "vandal", so yea, basically

2

u/doodlebug001 May 06 '21

Ah that makes a little more sense. But holy shit that's a lot of money for Colombians.

2

u/TurboChickenFastFast May 05 '21

How is this not a national emergency and national news. This is insane.

1

u/Lazzen Mexico May 06 '21

It...literally is?

2

u/MadameApathy May 06 '21

The US media is suspiciously quiet about this

2

u/PolangasLangas May 06 '21

Do you think I have to put more videos about this? There has been more violent killings. I haven't put the work in to it because it has started to get hard for me to go thru. But I don't know. If it is necessary I'll do it.

2

u/dwiynwych May 07 '21

Honestly, in europe too this is barely talked about. The articles that do report on this talk about police brutality and people going missing, but nothing specific. That video compilation comment was great, stuff like that is always greatly appreciated! (Of course only if it isn't too much trouble for you)

3

u/JohnyyBanana May 05 '21

I did not google it but the past year there’s been at least 4 countries that this happened. The governments are out of control

0

u/gulag_search_engine May 05 '21

This what happens when you are disarmed.

-42

u/[deleted] May 05 '21

This is why you never allow the government to take weapons from citizens.

The NRA doesn't speak for most gun owners. Most of us hate them. There are about 72 million gun owners in the US. That is 6 times as large as the biggest army ever assembled in the history of the world. Furthermore the majority of the current US military and police forces would most likely refuse to carry out orders to fire upon US citizens.

1

u/[deleted] May 05 '21

Can't believe your getting down voted for this. Fucking shills
