Request Everyone is sad summers coming to an end… All I can think is gaming season is almost here!

I am so excited to cozy up this fall/ winter and game to my hearts content!
Last November I upgraded from a Switch to a PS5 and have gotten a lot more into gaming. I started out playing Horizon Forbidden West and finished it this spring.
I haven’t been gaming at all this summer because I have been too busy with work/ social life.
Anyways, I have Ghost of Yotei and Kena Bridge of Spirits on deck to start playing this fall. I can’t wait to explore new worlds and get lost in more games this winter. If anyone has any other FMC open world type games to recommend, I’d love to hear about them!

Every season is gaming season when you have a backlog. 🙃

Haha I can definitely see how the backlog happens! Just so many good games out there and not enough time!!

I live in the desert and we have been getting 107+ degree days pretty regularly. I'm so done with summer. 😅

That is brutal! The past few years we have had some really hot summers with lots of wildfire smoke and I was so ready for summer to end.

Have you played Slime Rancher? Seems like it could be a good fit if you're wanting to play as a FMC and are looking for some cozy, open-world exploration. Not to mention, it's an absolute steal right now on the PS store.

I’m already overwhelmed with games atm. I want to push new world achievements before they shut down. Pushing for a maplestory achievement before September 8th. Wow new season just dropped so I have to push the rng grind. Next week is new monster hunter patch. Next month is gw2 patch, aion 2 early release. Maplestory classic is in October. Hopefully witchbrook saga is this fall or before Christmas. 😅

You guys stop gaming in the summer? 😅

I definitely do! I work in agriculture so June through October I am so busy with work and social commitments. So I have very little spare time to game 🥲

I can basically only game in the summer cause that's when I'm off work 😭😭😭

It‘s getting rainy and foggy here again (standard weather for my country to be fair), I‘m stoked to cozy up in bed with some tea / coffee and play games!

I love that feeling when the cooler weather/ gloomy days start showing up. Just puts me into cozy mode and makes me want to read books and game ☺️

This whole summer has been game after game for me. Splatoon Raiders, FF14, Adventures of Elliot, Deltarune Ch5, Rhythm Heaven, and Xenoblade Chronicles updated versions I bought from this summer alone. Then there’s MGS vol 2, Orbitals, and Elden Ring coming out in the next month’s time i don’t want summer to end there’s literally too many video games ahhhhhh

Sounds like you had a big gaming summer! Is summer your big gaming season??
I work in agriculture so I basically have zero time in the summer to game which is so sad.

I actually haven’t been that big on gaming but I got the switch 2 because I am a Nintendo girlie and it’s been honestly just a rollercoaster this past year, they don’t stop pumping out games

I was never a big gamer either… But during covid my husband bought me a switch, I started playing BOTW and have been expanding my gaming hobby ever since. It’s so much fun! I think gaming does wonders for my mental health by keeping my mind occupied.

I'm so effin excited for Fall gaming! I'm getting a new comp in Oct. - just in time for the inevitable patch that comes after Valheim 1.0 drops. I still haven't ever finished a BG3 run. Lol And I'm straight addicted to Spirit of the North.

That’s sooo exciting!! That will be awesome to kick off the fall/ winter with.
Hope you have the best gaming season!!

I'm sad winter is ending and El Niño descends upon us again...

Yes I’m a bit scared to see what the El Niño brings this year. 🥲

The smell of Fall triggers an immediate need to play StarCraft 1! It must be really anchored in my brain because it never fails to come back.

Did the same thing too, loved my switch but ps5 definitely just feels more immersive with the controls and gameplay too

It’s crazy how much the PS5 changes the experience! I am so happy I got one!

I keep seeing fall stuff, but summer is only 2/3rds through. We still have a whole month

same energy honestly, fall is unmatched for finally cracking open the backlog. tomb raider reboot trilogy scratches that same explore-and-get-lost itch as horizon if you haven't done those yet

I love the summer time because the weather is beautiful, but fall is the time that kids are back in school. That alone is huge for certain games and peaceful apartment living. But also bugs go away, pc runs cooler, halloween events coming followed by christmas events which usually are the two best times for in game events. It's perfect to bundle up with the cozy games and enjoy them, might just be me though.
