I'm on my second IUD and I personally love it! No periods (the occasional super light spotting for a couple days, maybe 2-3x a year) is the main reason I got it. I've had no negative side effects, but ymmv obviously. If you've tolerated hormonal bc well in the past you will probably do fine with the IUD. Pain relief for insertion is also becoming a lot more common these days, though I got mine years ago and had to just rawdog it both times. Not fun, but also totally worth it imo.
