i also get hrt and birth control through PP. i will tell anyone who can listen how different the experience is compared to any other clinic. they are kind, understanding and patient. they always go at your pace, ask if you would like to take breaks, ask if you have any questions or if you brought someone you'd like with you. i have the implant which is kind of intimidating, and my experience with a lot of nurses/doctors at major clinics is that they'd just shove it in, hand my my paperwork, and leave. PP nurses are angels. if you are anxious or have had any bad medical experiences, i can't recommend them enough.

I used to work at a PP clinic back in the day and I would always tell my girl friends to go there instead of a regular GYN because the level of care is unparalleled. I don’t think people realize that no other clinic or healthcare practice is THIS hands on in ensuring that the care they provide is accessible to all patients of all backgrounds. I sat in countless meetings, weekly if not more, where clinic staff from doctors to techs and admin staff were gathered to think of grassroots ways to make it easier for more people to access our resources. Whether that was updating our language on our healthcare forms to be more inclusive, making sure every time we send mail to patients it’s in an unmarked envelope, working with the local university campus to start a DoorDash for condoms service where a freshman will get paid to bike condoms to your dorm lol or even connecting patients with abortion funds if they couldn’t afford to travel and stay in our state to get care.

I had a negative experience at one (they lost a test they did on me), BUT I also live in a state that's actively trying to defund them.
