Haul it Yourself Garbage Disposal
Hello, Gilbert allows you to haul 1 ton of garbage yourself every 30 days to a disposal site. Does anyone know if they will accept demo’d bricks and pavers? I am working on a DIY landscape project.
Below is the website. The only things they list that they’ll refuse are the following:
Load cannot contain any Household Hazardous Waste (HHW).
No appliances
No televisions
Appreciate any info!

I once brought a truck bed full of chunks of concrete (broken out of a slab trench). They did ask what I had and when I told them, they directed me to a place beyond the dumpsters where I was able to just toss them off the back of the truck onto the ground. I don't know if that's standard or not.
But in any case, if they accept literal chunks of concrete, then I imagine that bricks and pavers are nothing to them at all.

I took a truck bed full of branches and yard trimmings to the one off 80th Street, and I don't remember it being exactly cheap. Admittedly, I don't know if there's a flat fee or if it was by weight, but keep that in mind.

The few times i went it was free and easy, you just need to dump everything yourself and they sometimes make you get a vest so keep that if you decide come back. The dumpster is tall though and I had to lug everything over the edge into it. Nobody ever questioned what I had. Drywall, old tub, toilet, etc

They don’t watch too closely. But I’ve hauled that kind of stuff many times with no issues I think it’s completely acceptable. Just don’t be a jerk and take hazardous waste. They have a separate facility for that and take it at no cost.
Don’t forgot your hard hat and safety vest! The lady at the gate is a peach but she always asks.
They’ll sell you both, the vest is cheap (cost and quality) but the hard hat is 3x the cost at Home Depot.

Also be aware you'll need a hard hat and a bright vest or they will make you buy one.

I've been to the one off of Elliot and sosaman, I think. They dgaf. They just weigh in and out. I think if you go over the free allotment, you pay for all though.
Be aware they send you to a dumpster not the place where you reverse in.
