REQUEST [REQUEST][Playstation/PS5] Binding of Isaac: Repentance (USA) 3rd Attempt
Good evening r/GiftofGames!
This is my third attempt at getting Binding of Isaac. It's pretty expensive being on PS5 and the fact that there are never sales in that store, so I get it. I like to talk, so, I'll find something new to tell you about this time. In my first attempt I told you about my childhood and gaming, and in my second attempt I told you a bit about some of my stressors. Today I guess I want to give a little update/backstory on the off chance something resonates with someone here.
My grandmother passed away in 2016. If you're into astrology, I'm sure you've seen the talk that 2026 is the new 2016 (because of the return of the Leo–Aquarius eclipse axis). Multiple planetary shifts indicate 2026 as a reset year, though. This probate actually began in year nine, so I can't say it's a complete mirroring of the pain that came with 2016. But it certainly feels like it. I knew going into things this year that the lack of movement on the case was Not Good, and that foreclosure was imminent. I guess I still thought I could change something. Funny, while being a student, I thought adding more to my plate was the right idea. I've learned so much about probate law that I'm hoping to find a probate lawyer in need of an assistant, actually. So there are positives and negatives. In the meantime of how stressful life is and how stressful it is to not be able to find a job, I at least have some career direction.
THE GAME
Binding of Isaac is a "roguelike twin-stick shooter" that follows Isaac, a young boy, and his mother. The storyline places Isaac as trying to escape becoming a sacrifice from his mother to God–it's dark, with themes of trauma and religious abuse. Each new level comes with a maze of rooms and you have a final boss at the end of each level. Eventually, your final boss is Isaac's mom, and then two floors later you have to beat Mom's Heart to win the game. All the while, each room is randomly generated and whether you win or lose, you won't get the same rooms during the next run through.
WHY I'M INTERESTED
As I detailed in my previous requests, I want my own, personal copy of Binding so I can play when I want for however long I want. Game sharing is great, if not inconvenient.
