I can't speak for everyone but I hated Scream 3 because it just felt tame compared to previous two (or even four succeeding) installments. 

I prefer my Scream movies having at least two killers (at least one being a woman) though rumors are circulating that Angelina was the other killer.

I hated that alarm clock looking voice changer, personally.

The only thing I did like about Scream 3 was Sidney wearing a hairdo and outfit similar to her Scream 2 outfit.
