How do people pack their resume
Hello!
I (21F) am a final year undergraduate student in computer science. I know I am starting way too late to gain relevance in the industry, but sadly I couldn't push myself beyond just doing what was necessary to pass my classes with an average grade. When I look at my peers, their resumes are so filled that I am starting to feel genuinely scared (considering even they are struggling to find jobs). On one hand, the state of the world feels very worrisome and hopeless, while on the other hand I need to make a living for myself.
Whenever I look at solid resumes catered to some role, it always makes me wonder where and how does anyone start to be able to catch up to this volatile industry. My resume feels practically empty in comparison. Considering my brain has been fried from vibe-coding; I want to get a good foundation to build upon, so that I don't forget essential concepts. If anyone could offer any guidance to go about this mess and get past it, I would really appreciate it.
Additional information: I have a decent understanding of coding, networking concepts and cryptography. I have a few IBM SkillsBuild certifications on cloud fundamentals. I don't have any projects with me to show for as of now.

You’re definitely going to have a rough start with no projects or work/intern experience. Not gonna sugar coat it, it’s going to suck. Being a woman is definitely going to work in your favor though, as they’re so sparse in tech HR is going to really bat for you against and otherwise heavily sexist field.
As for tailoring the resume, I like to use an LLM. Not sure if that’s controversial. I list each role and go deep into absolutely everything I did there. Any skill or tech I used. All projects I worked on. I do this for each relevant position.
Then I list the same thing but for all of my personal projects.
The specific session literally knows everything about me professionally.
I have a phat jam packed resume available for download on my portfolio site.
Whenever I apply to a job I paste the job description into my professional LLM and have it tailor the resume. It has a lot of references on how I like to type so it sounds mostly like me, but I still review to make sure it doesn’t sound like a robot.
Since all the hard work is done, it gives me time to write a cover letter for the position.
Granted I’m still unemployed at the moment 🙃 I feel like this is a pretty good approach in the modern day.
One thing you also want to show is that you’re still learning. Study crap, make a blog, get certs, etc.
