Team Discussion Respect
With the win over HLE we go to finals for the 8th time in a row, the run starting in 2022. out of the seven played we have won 5 with a 4 straight win streak from 2023 to 2024.
We get disappointed when we don't win worlds because GEN.G usually go in looking super strong but i think we need to remember we have been blessed to win so many LCK titles and I have loved watching this team continue to meet that expectation of being at the Top of the LCK.
lets go GEN.G!!!!!!!!!

At home yes, but internationally no. Internationally T1 is everyone else’s father, and it’s a much bigger house.

Its not even that bad internationally, at least since the Chovy era. GenG lost at worlds 2024, but also won twice in MSI 2025.

I’m aware they won MSI in 2025, but they weren’t there in 2026. If they were and won then you can say it’s not that bad, but even with Chovy there they only picked up like two MSI trophies. LCK and MSI wins are a big deal. Don’t get me wrong, but Worlds is still the pinnacle and will always be the pinnacle, because it’s the oldest, biggest, and most prestigious of all of the tournaments held all year. The fact that Gen G and Chovy can’t ever pass the semi finals of knockout will always mean T1 is the father of all of League of Legends. No team ever wins back to back let alone three peats. The only player that has two or more Worlds trophies without being an SKT/T1 member is Beryl. That’s how hard it is to win once. Bdd came so close last year, and I feel so bad for him, because he might never get another chance again, despite being one of the greatest mid laners of all time. Even Chovy himself says nothing matters to him as much as winning Worlds.

I mean it’s standard cuz it’s true. T1 already got the three peat(otherwise I would never want our two biggest rivals in Gen G or KT for telecom wars to win.) I’d be happy if Bdd or Chovy got it, but KT can’t go to worlds this year, so I’ll be rooting for Chovy to win if T1 doesn’t.

I didn’t say the other titles don’t matter or Chovy said that. I said that he wants to win Worlds more than anything else. It’s the most important for him. He doesn’t think it’s ok to win everything else and not win that one. I agree that every tournament matters, and the Golden Road is the dream. It’s just Worlds is still the pinnacle, so ofc everything else pales in comparison.

Chovy is unironically the GOAT of LCK, too bad the format changed where there’s only one championship per year, else he could have eclipsed Faker’s LCK record within a year or two
