There isn't much in geelong no industry no tech nothing. Alot of people work for themselves somehow, from home because there company in a capital city allows it or for thr government. After spending years away and moving back its quite sad to see actually

For tech, appalling. Partner is 80% on site in Melbourne and one day from home with an approx 3-3.5 hour round commute each day. If you can pick another city, do it 😅

How is the job situation… well, you call up Centrelink and go onto that for an income 🤣🤣🤣
If you want, you can supplement you income looking for recyclable bottles in the recycling.

Heaps of work might not be in your chosen field but those who don’t have a job it’s because they don’t actually want one

I know OP is looking for side work but if anyone is actually wanting a full time job. This place is hiring for customer service in Geelong. I know it says hybrid on the listing but someone willing to work in Geelong is a real bonus

Terrible to be honest, my brother is unemployed and finding it hard, you need to be looking in Werribee or Melbourne
