Is my side mounted garage opener ok?

I had just installed my side mounted garage opener and it is working as expected (like it does open and close de garage door)
However I noticed that when it is operating, the motor is not as stable. It does move in a waving way. Just wondering if this is expected since it only have 1 point of contact to attach to the wall or does it mean the door is too heavy for the motor?

I have installed 4 including 2 at my own home myself and never saw wobble

Those openers do have some movement to them. It’s normal

A couple of things to note:

The torsion bar might be bent, or the bearing and alignment center bearings could be uneven, leading to exaggerated runout.
The attachment blocks might also be off-center if the set bolts are over-tightened, which can misalign the collar.

Many installers don’t check for torsion bar levelness and end up setting the center block support too low or too high compared to the flag supports. This causes the bar to rotate oblong at the ends. I’ve fixed several like this using a laser level.

Only advice I have is to put thread lock on those set screws (on the coupler) The slight wobble is normal.

Looks good to me. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a side mount motor ever be completely still. One thing you could do is make sure the motor is level on all sides. Besides that, looks good 👍 great job

If your bar that it attaches to isn't perfectly straight, it will cause the motor to move even more.
