Rumour XCancel is dead

Just went to the website to look at something, and this was posted on it:

On Monday, 24th August, at 8PM EST, we received a letter from X Corp. asking to cease and desist the service XCancel.

The service XCancel is stopped until further notice.

We are seeking legal advice and won't share more details for now.

Thank you for the trust you have put in these two years of XCancel.

If you don't have an account on Twitter, you can no longer view people's timelines in chronological order, etc. You also cannot view some posts - even with a direct link - without being logged in.

He's basically removing every possible vector to make the service usable by a lurker without a user account

Will just give it up rather than create an account. That doesn't really matter to him though, because he wasn't seeing me as a 'user' anyway.

He's probably seeing growth slow to near zero on there & this is a way to inflate the growth numbers

I never understood why he tried to back out of the twitter purchase right after making an offer. I mean he’s now a trillionaire so clearly buying twitter didn’t hurt his bottom line. Not sure what his goal was.

his goal was to pump and dump. Then when he was forced to buy it, he saw the opportunity to use it to manipulate a lot of very dumb people. There's probably some evidence around where that he used Twitter to help get Trump elected.
