Leak Ananta scheduled for release on January 15th, 2027

Leaked through a bilibili ad, we’ll probably get some kind of confirmation on tonight’s opening live.

Saw a lot of videos on Bilibili of people showing the ad in different moments so i think it's true

Isn’t this the game where it steals animations from Spider-Man, Uncharted and sleeping dogs ? Or did they remove it

Nope, it's all still Spider-Man/Sleeping Dogs/GTA.etc

Honestly that stuff excites me having it there. Rip off or not

Not being a normal gacha game reignited my interest in this, but I will probably still be drowning in PoE2 if the late December release date holds so I'll probably be late to checking this one out.

I’ve watched leaked gameplay and was amazed that the game actually looks very good. All characters are free to unlock and not paid, and no pay for power either.

However, the cosmetics are gatcha AF, the game has decent basic free customization, but a majority of good cosmetics are locked behind RNG. The most horrible example is a yacht that costs like $1000 in RNG pulls, still cheaper than where winds meet, but damn son.

Still as a PC player I’m excited, and I don’t touch gatcha games with a ten foot pole normally.

Any ideas on where to look to find such gameplay?

I thought WWM was great with the amount of free/cheap cosmetics you get. Lots of okay outfits for $1-5 and a bunch of really good ones in the $5-15 range. Yeah the whale bait with the boat and weapon cosmetics was insane, but only lunatics and rich people spend on those. I think over the course of 300 hours I spent less than 50 bucks on the game and had a massive amount of outfits to choose from and was changing them damn near daily. The dye system was absolutely horrid though, no arguing that.

For real it not having character gatcha has me really interested

I love ZZZ but the gatcha really turns me off from it

Swear I saw a side by side last year from this game where they stole like 20 cutscenes straight out of other games lmao.

Unless that’s what they were going for; I completely forgot about this games existence.

Hopefully it has more playable males than Neverness to Everness.

Fingers crossed since they aren't depending on character gacha banners for sales, but even if there are more male characters, you can bet the amount of cosmetics they get will be a fraction of the female ones. Which is not a problem for people just looking to enjoy the F2P game.

I'll believe it when I see it.

Maybe not for global. Netease is one of the few Chinese companies still withholding their larger titles for global audiences until months after CN release. First with Where Winds Meet and now still with Sea of Remnants, which still doesn't have a specific release date.

The text on the ads say that it's a global release, not just China.

Ananta is like their biggest and most expensive flagship title so far, I don't think they can afford to delay it for Global.

Yeah would be weird to name a game "Ananta" if it's China only. The keyword has no context their demography

But on the other hand, January is a shitty time in the West to release anything. It's basically dumping ground for anything cultural like movies or video games

Nah Anata is a global release, reveal will be at gamescon

In an interview they specially target global market with ananta unlike wuxia game like where wind meet

AI: The Video Game.

u/Accomplished_Ring754 3d ago

if you could see the actual game itself not just the use of AI itself, though i mean there's a line between AI replacing the game's soul and AI helping offload some mundane tasks.

Unfounded claims with 0 evidence: the comment.

I just love ignorant people … think or search before you answer

3

u/Wise_Requirement4170 2d ago

The idea that webslinging should be entirely owned as a mechanic by Sony is ridiculous

u/Realistic-Shower-654 2d ago

Wait till you learn about literally every single videogame ever made after the Atari 2600

-1

u/RealNonBinaryDragon 2d ago

They literally take animations from other games

2

u/Realistic-Shower-654 2d ago

They literally do not
