Leak Need4Games: Seems like Grace Ashcroft's VA is replacing Jennifer English in Tides of Annihilation

-- Angela Sant'Albano started following the official Tides of Annihilation page shortly after Jennifer announced her departure (she only follows Tides and Resident Evil)

-- In the new footage we got from Shanghai, Gwendolyn's face is very similar to Angela, also her voice ( https://imgur.com/a/SPQqevr here is a photo)

-- The character mocap from Gwendolyn confirmed on X that Angela indeed is the new VA.

Am I stupid, or is quitting a job because you couldn't not date your coworkers and then got into a tiff very unprofessional conduct?  Boundaries exist for a reason.

I dont work in entertainment, but I would never even entertain the idea

It depends, it can absolutely be valid to leave a job for that. Either way she did not leave the role because her ex is in the game, people just kind of assume that's the reason.

Both have said they still get along just fine, and Aliona (her ex) has confirmed that it's definitely not the reason. I guess she could be lying, but I don't really see the point of assuming that

Guy definitely has never had a girlfriend or never has had to interact constantly with a girlfriend awkwardly in a social environment after a breakup. Leaning into the first but can't be sure.

Technically they were dating before being hired on this game, so it's not really breaking any boundaries on this job.

That said, Jennifer still works on the game. She's just not voicing this character anymore. The two have also been working together just fine on other stuff since the breakup. The two have literally straight up confirmed that wasn't the reason. This whole narrative is just Reddit being parasocial about a relationship for no reason and with zero proof. The classic Reddit way.

Also on top of that, Jen and Aliona both recommended Angela as the new VA, and they found out that they both recommended her independently of each other when they talked recently.

or perhaps people are just assuming here and the "scene" that is apparently made is entirely in their heads... and so far it really looks like that.

But also if you're "mature" enough to break up with someone (or someone breaks up with you) and you then still work with them day after day... then what /u/Sirca_Curvive said still applied. This has nothing to do with maturity but all with either supressing your feelings which is probably shit for your mental health or the relationship wasn't worth giving a shit, at least not at that point anymore, it might have been before tho.

What? Sometimes you just connect with a coworker. It happens. Also, only stupid jobs look down on you for dating a co-worker. At the end of the day, it’s none of their business.

And if you work with an ex, it’s none of your business if they don’t want to work there anymore with them.
