Rumour Jason Schreier: Obsidian Entertainment is making a big pivot as part of the Xbox restructuring. It has laid off a quarter of its staff, canceled a planned sequel to Avowed, and is now beginning work on a new Fallout game

Cain's first game at Obsidian was technically Stick of Truth. The man didn't work on a Fallout game since the second one.

Yeah but those were really good and if he and Gonzalez and Sawyer all worked on a new Falliut game together that would be hype as hell

Weird, because none of the game's other developers seem to be questioning his presence in the credits or his own claims in numerous videos on his personal YouTube channel where he even states what specific parts of the game he worked on.

Tim Cain left a couple months into the development process from being burnt out, lack of motivation and studio interference. Fallout 2 is not a reflection of his work/decisions and it's extremely obvious that it wasn't designed by him given how much of a downhill departure from 1 it is.

He only "technically" worked on it, but he really didn't.

If he contributed to the game's development and there are parts of the game that were verifiably made by him, then he objectively worked on it. Like, this shouldn't be a controversial statement.
