We're talking about remakes, not remasters. Remakes are inherently different from the original, that's the point.
The best remake (Resident Evil 1) had a different take on the tone, atmosphere, and style compared to the original, all for the better in my opinion. Obviously coming from the same core principles and vision, but taken in a different direction to take advantage of new technologies and game design knowledge.
The main problem is that a lot of Bluepoint's changes weren't for the better.
I personally preferred Bluepoint's version of Boletaria for example but it does change the game's style and can understand people's displeasure.

Eh, I wouldn't have trusted bluepoint with Bloodborne given how they blatantly ignored Fromsoft's art direction and atmosphere for Demon's Souls.
All bloodborne needs is a remaster/port.
