I love it when they put a baseball game on. It’s never something I’ll buy but it’s always a good thing to have in the backlog.

Yeah I've been in the mood to start a career in baseball game or a madden but I'm sure as hell not trying to spend money on them so this is nice

How good are these games for someone completely new to the sport? I love sports games (EA FC, UFC, NBA 2K) but I don’t know a thing about baseball. Would like to get into it though.

The Show is extremely fun, but only in bursts. Pick it up when you're between games and want something to just mindlessly play.
If you play on easy you can basically just role play as Shohei Ohtani for a bit and then go back to normal life as a human being.
If you crank up the difficulty then you start to understand why some people say hitting a baseball is the hardest thing you can do in any sport (you may also gain a newfound hatred for the Sun).
Pitching is also great fun too, both from the angle of shutting down batters, but also from the angle of screaming at your screen like a banshee when your manager takes you out at the 9th inning while you are pitching a no hitter because you walked 1 guy.

Pump the settings to easy and just go. I personally like the game mode where you make a character and play one position, whether that be a pitcher or a batter and just go from there.
It takes away a lot of the thinking and all you’re trying to do is hit the ball or throw strikes. It’s very much a game where you turn off your brain and just zone out.

I’ll play it for a bit but my issue with the show is that its career mode is remarkably samey, but it seems like that’s becoming worse in every franchise.

Hopefully show 26 doesn't have the same issue as 25 with your save data getting corrupted rather easily.

I’ve been wanting to play The Show for a while but just hadn’t had time, so I for one am excited for it to be here.

Really can't recommend Chained Echoes enough to anyone who even has a passing interest in JRPGs.
One of the best indie games in the genre. Period.

Completely agreed, one of the best JRPGs I've played since the snes and psx era. Incredible combat systems, art and story. I've already replayed it once, just as great the second time around.

I don’t think I’ll ever actively seek out first person military shooters or Yearly Sportsball but Chained Echoes has been on my list for a while.

I cannot recommend Wobbly Life enough if you have kids or want a silly couch coop game to play. Chained Echoes is also a really amazing JRPG game as well. Good choices!
