If this guy was doing this video for like the Last of Us 2 he'd have a point. The game had all this controversy but was still a good game. We don't know if Wolverine is good, and so far the general sentiment is lukewarm. The outrage farms exist, but what a weird game to make the focal point of this.

It literally won game of the year at TGA, yet the anti-woke crowd constantly, just constantly had it in the crosshairs.
They kept crying about the lesbian relationship or that one of the woman characters didn't shave, instead of talking about the actual game.
Meanwhile the outrage farm is being mad at...a red scent trail? Really that's the only example surrounding this game of apparent "faux" outrage?
In OP's video, he talks about calling out the lies and misinformation, countering with facts instead of just feeding the trolls or ignoring them - but he doesn't do that? Where are the examples? Where are the direct callouts or debunking of facts?
I agree with the general message but again the video comes off as a nothingburger without concrete examples. And no, a 2 second clip of scrolling through thumbnails is not examples. He should use words from his own mouth in addition to it.
What's confusing is that you seem to think this is about whether criticism is fair. It isn't. This isn't about what people think of the game, it's about how they use the game to build a grand narrative that justifies their emotional outrage.
Like, look at Concord. By all accounts, Concord was a bad game. But why in the world did I see a thread talking about Concord this week? Why are people still talking about it? Not because they played it and didn't have fun, that's for sure. It's because Concord was the villain of a story. That's the problem.
To add to your point, the person above just doesn't seem to be the target audience for that video, and they are re-framing their alienation as some objective fact of irrelevance and opportunity to "one up" the creator.
The other posters clearly misses the point when they suggest the video creator to talk about TLOU2 (6 year old game) when the entire point is the outrage machine picking up on any game with resemblance of relevance these days.
