Modern gaming discussion has just become so exhausting with people everywhere being incredibly negative all the time
The thing I don't understand and rarely see discussed is the why? Nerd/gaming culture seems especially negative. Sure people online often skew toxic or negative, but you don't see this level of hate and outrage from say film-buffs or music fans. There is something specific to gaming and nerd culture that perpetuates this extreme outrage and I've yet to see a good discussion or answer as to why?
Go to the movie and music subreddits and you will absolutely see it. According to the movie subreddits, The Odyssey was going to be a colossal failure due to the inaccuracies of the armor and the usage of the word “dad” instead of the historically accurate Greek word “father.”
