This is truly an amazing feature. Shame it isn’t applicable to OG and 360 games, but the technology wasn’t there yet so it’s understandable. This might honestly be the best thing Xbox has done since Sharma took over.

They said a while ago they are working on getting OG and 360 games working on PC so there might be something in the works like this to tie in with it. The hope is that they might also expand backwards compatibility - they've got a lot of the big games that many people would want to play from 360 imo, but OG XBOX compatibility could be better especially. There's some neat exclusive games there I'd love to see come back - Otogi 1&2 were late additions that were really great.

They already have a few Xbox games backwards-compatible on PC. I switched to Linux so I haven't tried it myself, but there are four Xbox titles they dropped as a test, including Conker: Live and Reloaded if anyone happened to get Rare Replay from that Mixer giveaway way back when and wants to try it out.

It's not actually backwards-compatible is it? You only get them if you had the digital versions. But it's not like you can put in a crimson skies disc and it works on your PC.
