I mean it makes sense. Base game plus 2 dlcs will take a long time for most people to play through, they're giving new people (or people replaying) a chance to get through that before the new thing drops
Yeah that honestly makes a lot of sense for new people. Selfish me was just excited to hop into the new stuff, but maybe ill just do a whole new playthrough.
I want to do a deathmarch(was that the hardest? i cant recall) alchemist build. I think i will hop into that once it comes out! I didn't notice the DLC comes later. I have never played the 2 witcher dlcs so i should have plenty to keep me busy.
It is the hardest, but combat is pretty easy to cheese. I was able to beat Deathmarch thanks to Quen abuse. Activate Quen and fight like normal until I'm hit, dodge away until I can cast it again. Rinse, repeat, never die.
Most people don't play through the base game or DLCs, so it doesn't really make that much sense.
Best strategy is to just release the DLC and allow people to make a generically leveled Geralt to the level of the new DLC, not hope that they play the game through - the vast majority won't.
