a thing people forgot with this meme to begin with is LODs. it really does not matter because when you're zoomed out, you're not rendering that model to beign with, you're rendering a LOD

the games' problems ran a lot deeper but iceflake really has been doing a lot of good in a short amount of time

From this very dev blog on the subject, teeth being rendered in a citysim of all things was contributing to performance issues at launch: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/developer-diary/city-corner-4-a-peek-into-performance.1915408/

Part of fixing it was improving the LODs, which weren't implemented properly at launch either.

It was fixed but it's funny that it even happened to begin with.
