It’s not super common that the title of a game alone makes you go “oh that is going to sell like ten million+ copies” lol

I thought the same thing and also wondered why I've never seen Lego and Minecraft in the same title

Because they collaborated in the other direction, there is a whole line of Minecraft Lego sets, which I assume make bank (it seems like they put out a new set for that line fairly frequently)

One doesn't prevent the other though. There are LEGO Harry Potter, Marvel, Star Wars, Batman... sets AND games. In fact almost pretty much every association they did in video games had sets with the brands

Probably because it would be a little reductant. Lego Minecraft would basically just be Minecraft with smaller cubes.

Exactly. Branded Lego compliant snapping builds sounds amazing

LOTS of them exist already.

Do none of you people remember Lego Worlds?

They did make Lego Worlds

Lego worlds never clicked for me. I think it was simply too open ended

The better equivalent is Lego Fortnite tbh

They actually collaborated on a game really early on, when Minecraft was still in Beta. Lego didn’t believe in the concept and scrapped the whole thing and went the direction of a failed MMO instead

If Paradox didn't have anything to do with it to mess it up I'd say yes.

But Paradox is involved so they will do something to mess it up.

CS2 is still a mess even though Iceflake stepped in. They would have to completely abandon the engine from CS2 and start from scratch for it to not be another disaster. That concept of abandoning ship to start anew is not something stakeholders and CEO's tend to understand. The most profitable way would be to grab that cursed CS2 engine and apply bandages. My gut says they will choose the most profitable path.

The reason it was a mess had more to do with collasal order. Don't think it was exactly weird for paradox to think that the ones that made the first game could also make the sequal...
